Images Hitch.

KTM has released pictures of their 2007 SuperDuke 990, which features changes including radial-mounted front brakes, a larger fuel tank, and revised styling. In addition, there will be an 'R' model which gets a more powerful engine and revised chassis featuring numerous carbon-fiber and billet aluminum pieces.

Keep your eyes on MD for more info as we receive it, and in the meantime, feast your eyes on these incredible pictures.

Not a curve in sight, and I 'lurve' curves !

Umm? Looks just like the current one to me. Great looking bikes all the same and I've had a spin on one- what a blast. Only drawback then was the piddly fuel tank/range. Now that's fixed we might see more on the roads.

The black one would be my pick of the pair. I wouldn't say no to one.

Yea, the black R model would be my choice

The 950 SM is my choice.....

I have to fess up to liking the idea of owning one of those babies. Especially with a decent tank range like MD said. But in saying that, the range on my bike with it's current tune is pretty sad. Might be better off with a KTM.

The tubing of the frame has curves, the headers are curved, tyres, brake disks, exhaust.....

You've got to love bike manufacturers. When the tank range was criticised, at first the response was "it is integral to the sporting profile of the Superduke". It seems there has been so many complaints that it's not so integral anymore.
Still the best twisty's specialist you can buy though.

not pilly friendly, starting to look like rest of the makers Well the R's definately not pillon friendly, it's a solo bike only baby, and what the hell would you want to take a pillon on one for anyway, kinda misses the point, saying that my partner doesn't mind it on the back when I let her:dodge: .I like the look but hey I'm biased. Now if only I could retro fit that tank

I could Weld a 50 litre S/Steel Beer keg up for you to look like a tank , would make anothing 10 RWHP with it if ya like . But you will still have to put up with people still laughing at how poorly you ride cann't do anything about that Sorry !!! :scooter:

I've heard that they are ridiculously easy to ride fast. Good girls-bike I s'pose. I prefer the manliness of riding a bike that is the two wheeled equivalent of Angelina Jolie. Hot looking... but totally mad, unforgiving and likely to spit you off in the middle of a ride. Stupid even thinking about it, but you know you have to give it a go if you get the opportunity.

Manliness/Angelina Jolie, now I'm confussed:dodge:The Fastness thing is all down to the Pilot I spose, as Scott said I ride Like a "slow thing" (some say like a slow girl) so wouldn't know. What I do know is it's shit loads of fun & is just what I need @ this stage of my Motorcycle experience

If your bike was Angelina Jolie, would that mean you'd have to adopt a Royal Enfield?

I'm really suspicious now:scratch:. That's the kind of thing that the really fast fulla's would say. I'm still trying to practice that thing of "slowing down to go faster". The Tuono rewards being ridden aggressively, but will punish severely if I over-step my ability. I am on a gentle learning curve.:ride:

:Those are very wise words grasshopper, the Super Duke is the same, doesn't suffer fools lightly but loves to be thrashed. Had a chance to ride my mates 03 Racing(once I could tear my eyes away from all that eye candy carbon fibre), it's amazing what a difference a little fairing makes.:yes:and the seat sooo much more plush than my old Mille.

Just bought a new '07 in black. Test ride of the demo sold me in 20 minutes. This bike is an awesome tool. Goes plenty fast for our roads, points where you look, stops on a dime, etc, etc. And it's different from the UJMs cluttering up the country. The last great Austrian was Adolf. With the Superduke they can finally realise their dreams of world domination!

I wish you guys would stop reviving this firken thread. It makes me want to test ride one. Sat on one already.

I may as well have a resident cop outside, so I can hand over my license, to save the paperwork that would be required later... :bye: Blardy hooligan toy to a T. I wouldn't go as fast in a straight line (awesome) but wheelies would be regular...

Just looking on the international version, it seems there is a 640 Duke II.

I tried the 640 motard, it was just too small for me. 950 seat was uncomfortable, but get past that (maybe custom seat) and that would be a hooligan toy as well.

Lose lose situation. Lose license from speeding too easily, or lose license for wheelies and other fun stuff :bye:
