Had some close ones tongiht...had a branch from a tree flung across the road at me, just ducked in time, and nearly got taken out by many bits of cardboard...and a few of those green recycling bins...was quite excillerating actually...at one stage when i was on a very exposed piece of road witht he wind hitting me side on, i was actaully riding with quite a bit of lean!...YEEHA

Was a tad windy when I went over about the same time! Didn't see anyone bin it though.
Made it a bit tricky lane splitting...

ON the way to Paeroa one year and I was leaning rather heavily in to the strong wind and all of a sudden it went away, not because of a hedge but as Death was coming by one one wheel!

pussies.... I had one little thing were the bike swerved underneath me from the wind, but that was it. Gotta love a stable bike
I think splitting would still have been a doddle.

Maybe you lot need to come down to Welly and get the learn from the crew down here. I can't remember the last time I managed to get out for a ride without it blowing a hoolie.

As our old mate Chopper would say "Harden the f*@# up".
Can be a bit hairy at times though can't it? You'll all be alright with a few more days practice.

And to think Hawkeye that my cheeky neice from AKL was telling me I should move up there to get away from the wind after my posting on Monday about the bloody wind down here. We dont have wind.. we have WIND and thats no cabbage.

It was. Use the cages as a wind break and no worries (the trucks were a bit of a different story though...)!

I had fun yesterday along tamaki drive. bit of mean going on, nothing a bit of counterwindsteering couldnt fix.
At the bridge near the boat sheds the wond was behind me and had a bit of trouble stopping. Except when i had to move forward all i needed to do was release the brakes and hey presto...20km's with team newzealand power!

Bugger!. The best storm in ages, and I have to be out of the country. I'd have loved to ride in that. I like riding in storms.
