Im booked in to sit my Full Licence test on Sunday BUT my bike has decided to throw a fit and my speedo has stopped working. Im trying my best to get it sorted by Sunday but im not to sure I will be able to! If anyone has a 150 that I could borrow on Sunday morning should I not be able to fix my bike to sit my test I would be more than grateful!

Yeah. Pity its telling you absolute crap, i.e. 60km/h when you're only doing about 52km/h, but yeah, it's cool. It's gonna be sad having a normal dial on the next bike.

Ah thats cool when mine reads 50 its actually doing around the 60 mark... I followed Stew home on Weds night as my lights werent working. He was sitting on 50k's on his bike and my speedo was reading 39k's. Though my bike is a silly little bike....

You wouldn't think it would be that hard for bike manufacturers to make a speedo that actually works

bieks are more delicate than cars and car ones dont work either, the mechanical way its done is "flawed" - only solution is probably gps or lasers i.e. measuring how fast the car is moving rather than how fast the wheels are turning.

Nah, the speedo driver has died.... Ive ordered a new one but its gonna cost $180 and it'll take 3-4 weeks to get here. Its new owner picks it up today, I was lucky that he was understanding and still wanted the bike!

Tis ok we shall look after her while she is in Auckland.... for her brief stay.

I will abanden her in Hamilton, but there are other riders taking her onto Taupo.:scooter:

I am sure that she will report in from Taupo tonight....... :scooter:

Tis been raining overnight... but weather is supposed to clear up for her ride back down the line... until she hits Wellington

Just hope that she has a good flight up here, wearing all her biking gear and carrying her helmet.
