it seems, once a year, in november, i must crash.
in 2002 i wrote off my CG125 (much loved) into the side of a car, which pulled out in front of me.(loss of skin on my heel) (only helmet and gloves)

in 2003 i crashed my Suzuki Savage (much hated) due to a car pulling out in front of me, out of a parking space in the wet, being a cruiser with not much weight over the front wheel, it slid and dropped.(loss of skin on my right arm and leg) (only helmet and gloves)

In 2004 i crashed my 6 month old GN250 into the side of a car which decided to pull out in front of me, sore rib's, a strained hand were the only injuries (Jacket, Gloves, and Full face were worn)

In 2005 I dropped my much loved DT175-(one month old) on a hill, it stalled whilst going up, at the time i was teaching myself how to ride on dirt...i grabbed the front brake, and it rolled backwards, and over onto me, minor grazing from the footpeg on my leg-open face helmet, and gloves were worn, with saftey boots)

In 2006 I dropped my much loved NXR 125, whilst going down a sandy/clay track with the throttle open and the back hanging out most of the way, i slowed for a corner and lost the front, the knobblies didnt give me the grip, i barely had it leant over.
when i got up i was thinking....how the fuck did that happen (still trapped under bike), after lifting the bike off my bruised and grazed leg i founf the surface to be like ice once the sandy layer was removed.
my well worn MT60 didn't leg go...i was setting myself up for the corner when it let go.
i suppose being november i should have expected it!

Carver - 2007: 1st to 30th November 2007 you are to not go near your bike at all for those 30 days. It is to remain in your garage locked up.

That way you can break this horrible cycle that you have gotten yourself into.

Tis the only way mate...... dont look at it or go near it... that way you will be safe without the injuries.

what ya need is a sports bike, like a 91-98 cbr600. That way when you crash next november i can buy the bike as parts. :2thumbsup
but seriously, a decent knobblie tire wouldve hung on far better, even on wet clay. That "knobblie" youve got on has barely got enough tread left to call a worn street tire, let alone dirtbike tire. The mx racer guys replace their tires once the knobs edges get rounded. Ive got a spare set of rims for my xlr250, one set with road tires and one set with full dirt tires, not much point trying to dirtbike with worn out road tires, not unless you like to crash.

The last two don't count. You should expect to drop a bike now and again when riding dirt.

Please, I don`t mean to put you off bikes but have you thought about cages as a form of transport? just wondering.
