Hiya guys

Rode back my new honda spada VT250 3 days ago, first time on the motorway and first time going over 100 and after going up and down the road abit getting a feel for the bike I got it from wellington back to kapiti in one piece, just before it started pissing down :)

Loving it so far, went over the rimutakas yesterday and loved every minute of it untill on the way back I ran out of fuel in between pukera bay and paekakariki lol, made it down the road abit using the reserve tank and had to get the old lady to come to the rescue with a can hehe.

Is great to see all the other bikers out on the motorway, thanks to the ones giving me the wave :D

Have to say riding an mb100 for a few years has really helped me take to a bigger bike, still getting used to using the clutch more on this one and this 1 down 4 up business with the gears is taking some getting used too but a couple more missions and I'll be confident :)

Good on ya mate - glad to hear you loving your ride and using it out and about! Just remember to practice doing your low speed turns and emergency brakes in a nice quiet carpark when you get a chance!

Sweet as! :woohoo:

A brilliant start!

At 100km/h, you'll have about 40kms on reserve. And done the Taka's on mine once, but mine came from that area too, so it's had many trips across there, and no doubt loved them all.

You'll be absolutely stoked with the bike, trust me. They're under-rated little machines, just ask anyone who was at the Taupo trackday last weekend, eh McJim, Paturoa etc?

Un-natural liking...That's new. I just thought of it as an obsession.

Also, you may want to check the 1990 part. Spada's were only manufactured in 1988 and 1989. How many k's has it done, and how much did you pick it up for?

Good bike there, I bought a VT250Fg for my son to learn on, quite a suprisingly good bike, I have had it up to 140 myself with very little trouble, handles better than my CB, bit then it is somewhat newer,
