I've been a casual observer of the site for a while and didn't really get involved as I had no bike. Now I do and I'm so glad to be back on two wheels. 06 GSX-R1000 and I absolutely love it. It's such a docile beast around town and very forgiving of a rider whose skills need a bit of honing......
I'm after a personalised plate for it - does anyone know someone who wants to sell their GSXR or similar plate?

Welcome to KB, and great bike choice :)

Have you checked TradeMe for second hand plates? They often have them on there, or you could check out the plates website (I believe they are about $500 for new ones)
