Have a look around this website...

Might be a repost but I couldn't help wonder about the future of the world after reading this and seeing the photos.

Scary shit, but very interesting...

Ah this was up on Slashdot a while back, a lot of people questioned how much of it was real and how much she made up. Looking around now, there's a page about her on wikipedia that gives a few clues to the questions about the truthfulness of the website: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elena_Filatova

Also check here for more reasons why people seem to think she's a fake: http://www.uer.ca/forum_showthread.asp?fid=1&threadid=8951

It's a pity that it has been debunked as being false; if you believe her website, it's quite a fascinating story.

She says it was fake on her website.
But a good story anyway.

It's complete and utter bollocks. Penn & Teller ripped her a new one about a year ago.

Not sure if its true or not, but still interesting read

My favourite quote from the site

"This is the highest building in town. On the day of disaster, many people gathered on this roof to see the beautiful shining cloud above the Atomic Power Plant."

Oh, that's a shame... I really enjoyed reading that, and some parts even made my eyes start welling up.

Guess it's like then you see how they did the special effects behind The Lord of the Rings or something, really kinda ruins the whole thing because you can't help but see the strings.
