Just thought I'd let you know that the Flying Fish is now open again for business. They close up for a month in winter :cold: because it's their "slower time".

We were through there on Sunday (11th) and they have just reopened.

They have a new menu - some of it's the same, but there's a few differences: now instead of burgers they are doing open sandwiches. The coffee seems up to it's usual standard.

It's still (IMHO) the best place to go in M/Borough for several reasons:

:sunny: you can park right outside, and you can keep an eye on your bike while you eat/drink

:sunny: the courtyard has heaps of room for big groups

:sunny: there's lots of room to put the helmets and tankbags

:sunny: you can see who's riding round the square, and if need be you can jump up and grab their attention (just in case they miss seeing all the bikes parked outside)

:sunny: they never seem to mind how long we stay

:sunny: their pizzas (while not cheap) are really really lovely

Bugsplat will probably add another reason.... :argh: they've left liver on the menu

And black pudding on the menu as well!

It's good to see them back open -- there are few other good brunch places in Martinborough.

Pete376403 - not sure about the tripe and onions but will have a look next time I'm there and let you know.

F5 Dave - Hamish is gutted, as he always used to have a Kupe Burger and fries, and I must admit the burger always looked nice.

Hitcher - yeah, black pudding...what can I say?
