Because deep down, we all want bigger, better, faster, more.... though sometimes it's just a bit of boredom and the thrill in the chase, so to speak...

They've been refining that bike for 21 years... who wouldn't want to at least try one? Hell if they can't get it right after that long (and apparently they have ) then there's no hope!

HAve to agree with this, it's about the best sportsbike you can buy and if I was younger and fitter and wanted to do some good track days and some fast road riding I couldn't think of a better mount!
Unfortunately I'm older and greyer and slower and the 'F' suits me fine...:third:

Don't be silly, you can't expect a justification for a comment like that.
He may ride an R6, but hes got a lot to learn about sharing his opinions... maybe he'll figure it out in time.

Maybe hes just more informed than the rest of the world......i have no doubt the R6 is a great bike but to say the GSXR is a piece of shit compared to anything seems ahhh...mis-informed to say the least.....

I'm thinkin it will not be long before Suzuki drop the 750 - they are the only ones still pushing the 750 class - odd that the 600 has become so popular as a racing class - are they all to chicken to go 750?

Would love to see the sales figures of the newer 750 compared to the older ones....with 600s being so quick now days i guess the figures for the 750 would be hurtin.......mind you i wouldnt like to load up a 600 with gear and piss off for a weekend away.....

Suzuki carry on the 750 despite there being effectively no class for it as the bike itself is an icon. It was the first proper 'racebike with lights' and has a huge following. It means so much to them that they produce it despite not selling it in their own domestic market.

not to mention it's the top selling bike in the UK and probably ships boatloads in teh states.

Superior, and the XB isn't bad either.
Very comfy - it's a very tall bike.

It wouldnt cost much to produce the 750. Between the 600 and 1000 its not like they would have to redevelop a bike from scratch. There has always been a market for the 750's and the GSXR750 is a legendary brand. Why not flick off a few.

Would love to see the sales figures of the newer 750 compared to the older ones....with 600s being so quick now days i guess the figures for the 750 would be hurtin.......They are quick. Check bike 12 (A current Kawasaki 636) and bike 13 (A current Suzuki GSXR750) on the results here (" http://cliffhanger.org.nz/results/sprints_2006_sept.htm)*. And Suzuki NZ not officially importing the current version doesn't help sales of it either. Muppets.
mind you i wouldnt like to load up a 600 with gear and piss off for a weekend away.....That might depend on what 600. In Australia they still sell the Honda CBR600F6i.
*I had the throttle to the fucking stop. If I do it again, the mirrors come off and I am correctly inflating the tyres..
