YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I finally bought a bike. After allmost 4 months of tossing and turning, checking reviews, comparisons, opinions, I finally decided for a sports bike and being limited to 250cc, I opted for a 2 smoker :headbang: .

So, last wednesday evening, a friend of mine rode "my new bike" home for me: an almost mint condition Honda NSR250R MC18 :scooter: . I was dying to ride it, but it was too late and I had to postpone it until the next day... when it rained like hell.

Due to the fact that my only previous riding experience is a summer of riding on a cruiser about 4-5 years ago, I was kinda' fearful of riding a sport 2 stroker for the first time, so I decided to at least wait for better weather. However, on friday afternoon, coming from work, I just couldn't resist, so I went to ride, even if it was raining (I was gonna ride it in the parking lot anyway, 'cause I don't have the license yet). Fortunately, I proved to have a good equilibrium sense and didn't drop it. I rode for about 30-45 minutes in the rain and came back in the house with a grin from one ear to the other :Punk:

Today a took it for a short ride again (about an hour) and I'm allmost familiarised with it. I can't wait for next Saturday to take my basic handling skills.

Are there any NSR riders and/or 2 stroke fans in the Wellington area? As soon as I can hold my own, I would like to come to the Wednesday Night Rides and meet the Welly KB guys.

Nice bike (for a Honda...) Very nice. Come along to the Wednesday night rides as soon as you like. Someone will ride to your pace and we always wait at regroups anyway.

Don't ride faster than your guardian angel can fly...

nice bike mate! Treat it with respect those 2 smokers can bite really hard if you dont pay attention! Cover the clutch, and think ahead and you should be sweet though.

Considering getting one myself, but they are bloody expensive these days!
