Only in NZ can you ever get this up close and personal with Valentino Rossi - Jo & I had a total of 5 gropes & 3 piccies of us with him.... and about 100 more of him changing his own tyres, breathing etc etc all the normal stalker kind of stuff!! Amazing - he didn't do 4 wheels half bad either!

how awesome is that!?! it's wicked that he's so approachable & not surrounded by evil marshal/security demons - the ones at the track were fab. it must be the only place in the world that people can have a chat with him so easily (or try to at least... when the mouth, tongue & vocal chords work in co-hesion!)

I got to meet him as well and was a very nice guy in talking with him he seemed to love NZ because we don't stalk him like he gets in Europe and don't seem to be the people who gets a autograph to sell on we get them cause we love his work. Talked to his mechanics and they said he was good to work with and stayed at the team hotel to be closer to the team when he had been offered better accomidation. He brought over a couple of mates and had a grand time I think he was going to queenstown monday so keep your eyes out in the south island

With Jo & I being the only fans hanging around at the start of the stages on Sunday, it must have been very weird for him - freedom! - except for the pesky professional photographer with the camera in his face 24/7. Let's hope he loves NZ so much, he comes to visit more often!:yes:
