Hi everyone,

I'm a new comer. I managed to get to the Albany Ale House a few weeks back but missed the ride before hand. Met some very freindly people; this is a great site with loads of useful tips and interesting stuff. Cheers.

I ride an xs650, it's about 25years old and vibrates like a good 'un (probably why I look so happy on it). Not a fast bike by any means but loads of charachter. I had a rigid frame made for it and a few other bits of metal work by Orb and Luke at Hog Farm which I've managed to piece together, wire and connect all up. The biggest surprise was kicking it over and hearing it burst into life after the build.

Still got a lot of tidying up to do on it, like paint and chrome. Thanks to the guys on Thursday night who made recommendations for paint shops, much appreciated.

Hope to make the Thursday night rides.

Enjoy catching waves too.

Cheers

Hey thanks everyone for the welcome,

Bet you had fun making that one.

Yeah, it was fun and pain at the same time. Overall a great experience though. Learnt lots too and feel more in tune with the bike as a result. However long you think it will take to build, times that by at least three and then some.

At the moment I can't face stripping it down for a paint job and to tidy one or two things up as I want to be riding it.

Managed to do the ATNR last nite, very cool even if I was at the very end of the pack.

Cheers

Hey Surfer good to see posting on here.

Hope your tyre stayed up.

Don't worry about being near the rear of the pack....... the main thing is that you are out there enjoying riding your baby.

Hi Crashe, thanks for the use of the valve adapter, I have it on my list of things to do today. Tyre is mighty fine. I try and ride it a bit underflated as it provides a some give for the rigid end but I must have lost a bit more air than I realised somehwhere, probably on the road. If anyone finds it they can keep it as I have some more now.
