Just had a chat with my boss, and have managed to sort out a cheap deal.

I'm offering up prints of your photos on a gloss paper (not photo paper) from our digital 'copier' (altho the people who are passionate about it don't call it a copier), which actually does a fairly decent job.

Since a lot of people snapped some really good shots from the Taupo track day and other events, I'm offering to print out the photos at double the cost and mount on 5mm foam board (either with or without 'boarder/frame' on white or black) for:

~$8 A5
~$12 A4
~$15 A3 (got to confirm prices).

Half goes to the cost of printing, mounting and sending. The other half goes to Spank. Will work out something for more than one shot, altho can't say yet, probably a couple of bucks off each after the first.

Convert what you will from the above sizes to 'photo inches'. The paper is A3 that I'll be printing from, then slightly trimmed to remove white edges.

They have to be high res shots tho. Low res just won't cut it. I'll also spend a couple of minutes making sure the colours are the best on the print too, unless you specify not to colour correct it (poor lighting, colours not as punchy etc).

Any interest for this sort of thing?

I am keen on an A3 or two.

How long do you think you will be doing this for?

I'd prefer to batch up as much as poss, but I guess I could do one offs now and again.

I'm gonna do one for myself to see what it comes out like, I'll post a photo (for what it's worth!) and anyone's welcome to come see..

Who is Spank?

He is the creator of this virtual world we live in.

On the first 6 days he created Kiwi Biker, on the 7th day he rode.

Chicken before the egg.... that bastard!

Hrm, $15 seems a bit excessive for A3. SRA3 on decent stock (~180gsm satin matt or gloss) usually is around $6. Add an extra buck for a chunk of foam board.

Thats my 2c.

So we're saying, what, 7 bucks for A3?

Buggy said the other half of it is going to Spank - So 7x2 = 14 = 1 dollar off. Sounds pretty reasonable to me. Easy way to contribute to the site, and you get something out of it too.

Hence I asked who Spank is :P
So it makes sense now.

I'd be happy to collect mine, mainly cos I don't trust NZ Post, they'll leave it out by my postbox next to a main road and someone'll wander off with it.

pfft... a kawasaki with me on it! instantly becomes highly collectable art.

Pictures of me are rare, and therefore highly valuable.
