During the ride down to Auckland on saturday evening my gearbox decided to play up a bit...jumping out of 4th gear.
The boys thought I may've had a loose chain so we tightened it sunday morning before the Coro Loop ride but to no avail which buggered me off no end obviously.
Made for some interesting moments during mid sweepers whilst having a fang on those beautiful roads.
So the bike's in at the shop getting sorted at the mo and I maybe without a scooter for up to 3 weeks as it is the first ZX10 to have this issue in NZ so parts may be a while away :mellow:

Sadly??? yeah....they loaned me one of their Buells last week when I got its(ZX's) 18000km service.
I didn't see the problem in me doing 250kms on the Buell and chewed the rear tyre but there ya go then :innocent:

Mate sorry to hear, was without my bike for a week and a half, back on the road today, my (Regulator Rectifier) shit it self, was cheaper to get one From the UK than buy one here, so didn't mind the wait, but missed a few rides thou. just hope it is only three weeks Tops, don't want to be without a bike over Xmas.

Appears things are working out thus far. Kawasaki NZ has agreed re warrenty and I could have the bike back in a week...have heard stories like this in the past so I may just have to light that glass pipe eh?

Finally got my ZX10 back!

After waiting what felt like an eternity my bike is finally back where it should be...downstairs on the carpet awaiting for the weather/babysitters to get sorted so I can take her out for a decent strop around the loop(Whangarei/Kawakawa/Opononi/Waipoua Forest/Dargiville/Whangarei) on saturday :first:

A HUGE thanks to those who've loaned me bikes to get through this difficult period,especially CaN. Mate...you're a legend I tell ya sir...appreciate it.
Thought I'd celebrate a bit too so have put a lovely wee hugger on her...chain guard coming
