Well after many a toe scraping since getting new tyres and getting the bearing in the steering replaced, had a peg scrape today without actually trying to.
That was awesome

Could you pick the bike up by yourself or did you need help?
Just kidding.

Peg scrape? Did the washing all off the back?
Seriously mate, the scraping of the pegs is one of life's joys.

dont forget the indicator and pinky scrapping you did that time at huntly!!!
Good stuff mate, its really awesome when knee, toe and peg are all touching down, and kind of worrying at the same time!!!
What do you mean by unintentional? Meaning you werent trying to scrap it, or you werent cornering as hard as you though you were?

May I suggest increasing the preload on your rear shock if it isn't already cranked all the way up.
When I first got my gsf400, I scraped the exhaust header going round a corner. It touched down before the pegs did. Since I replaced the shock and increased the ride height, I haven't had any problems with things scraping (except when I've fallen off...).

I was just cornering at what I felt was appropriate and comfortable and next thing I know it scrapes... tyres work wonders for giving you confidence in the bike eh.

cool stuff TM! I only managed to scrape the peg once or twice (on my 250) and that was on the track, don't think I have the balls to try that on the open road. Guess it also depends on the bike, some foot pegs are higher/lower then others.

Got Shinko 005s and I scrape my pegs no problem. Try the 003s (even softer, they look like slicks) They must be awesome, and cheap too.

anyone ever got a peg/knee down on an fxr? I don't think the tyres (yes, stock ones, ughck) have enough curvature on them. Or I'm just not cool enough, either way.

Shove a set of Bridgestone Bt39ss and you could scrape you're boots. Maybe peg too?

A new set of tyres will cost me like $300 though. And I enjoy slippin the back out on a sunny day when the back rides over a manhole, kinda. I'm trying to wear my tyres down so parents will buy me a new set. I think Mum's keen, specially when I idly comment to her about how dangerous crappy tyres are.
