Hi everyone,

Who here is involved with graphics/vinyl/stickers for bikes? I am looking at getting some made for my newly painted bike, and the local sign shop quoted me what I thought was quite a bit.

I messed around and have a few basic designs i'm after.

Cheers,

Stefan

Those last two look naff, more the middle one though. Using a serif font for the Suzuki logo, that's just not cool. Assuming they're not ginormous, $60 would be tops I'd pay to have those done.

Many moons ago I asked a sign shop to quote for new reflective stickers for my BMW helmet. The price was so steep that I bought genuine BMW parts cheaper!

A couple of years ago when the Hornet was new I went to a sign shop and paid $150 for some specially shaped clear plastic panels to protect the tank. Still expensive for what they are, but cheaper than a repaint...

Shop around (including Suzuki spares) and you should find out what the work is worth, then you can decide what you can afford and where you can best obtain it.

The place I took them to said it would cost between $100-$200(!).

Wow, waaay too much. I just had some work done, large complicated vinyl on an uneven surface and that cost me less than that, from a well known signage outfit. Go to www.brandsoftheworld.com or www.allthelogos.com for some .eps files.

Oh yeah, the rest of the vinyls I made up, I made myself. For well under $100 (excl. cost of vinyl cutting machine which the boss bought.) as well. Just took whatever .eps file I needed, resized it on the computer and cut it out.

Yea...waaaay too much. Your bike is a slabby - I could do a full set of basically originals for about $150 (just to compare)

My bike is one giant sticker.....with stickers over stickers.
(replica) but in the end it's giant stickers so "I know what I'm doing", all you need is a little surgery on the brain......i mean some stickers......send me the stuff.......to the place......which i mentioned....... i might drop Spankers a line and advertise on here.
