Went down to the strip today to watch a couple of mates run their new cars, both of them went well.
One in a big block holden ute with homebuilt rear suspension,first time the car has been run in anger, and consistent 11.2's naturally aspirated. The other in a 69 Camaro ran 9.8's again off the bottle.
But the best part of the day were the bikes, heaps of slooowww Harleys running around 15"s! But a couple of gems as well, nitro Harley ran a high 8, and looked as if it had more to come, sounded like the rider backed off a couple of times.
A patched Harley rider twice nearly flipped at the lights but still ran a high ten, the bloody thing had heaps of poke but was set up with high bars and forward controls, weight transfer was scary!
Guy on a ZX14 was running low 11's high 10's all morning but looked like he was having trouble keeping the front down, it will be interesting to watch him progress as he gets it setup for the strip.
