Impressive photos, my pictures from my shitty Nokia 3650 (my last phone) of a Neil & Tim Finn concert, would have required me to try convince anyone I showed that I was actually there, while producing a ticket stub and GPS co-ordinates...

I read in one of the Sunday papers Bozo and co stayed at Sir Michael Fays Island (Mercury Island I think) which costs $20,000 a night. It didn't say he stayed for free, but if he's so into wanting people to part with their money why didn't he stay in a normal Hotel.

Pretentious cr@p aside, I think their older music rocks - their newer stuff doesn't do anything for me; they've definitely 'sold out' big time. Really wish I'd have been old enough to go see them years ago when they were in their sunday bloody sunday days. I spent the first 3 songs of the concert praying for them to play something I knew! LOL

And it was a good excuse for me to go up to Auckland to catch up with friends :D

she went on Friday night and was up in da circle near the stage.
Went on Saturday night and she and a mate got in for FREE via a security guard....

Sure I have some more too. My favourites were 'I will follow', 'Bullet the blue sky' and 'Sunday Bloody Sunday'. It was a really great concert with awesome lighting etc.

Me thinks you need the money to have people listen to you. They've worked hard, toured hard, and now they are (quite rightly) enjoying the rewards. To say he can't stay in a $20,000 a night pad is ridiculous, it's his money so he can do with it what he likes. Even if he only gives $5 to support starving children then he's doing more than a lot of us.

*disclaimer* I don't give to charity. Charity starts at home, so if you want to give to charity you can come and give it to me at my home.

Come on. Complaining about rockers being self indulgent and egotistical is a bit of a waste of time. Surely we could find some true monsters that we can complain about? Mugabe?..anyone?

I went to the show for the music and the entertainment and had a bloody good time...sure I don't care much for the politics during the show, but at least I was there.
