Once more I am seeking the collective wisdom...just rode back from a weekend in Auckland..damn U2 are the greatest band ever........and I have decided that a new seat is required for the Softail. Both of us were getting damned uncomfortable after a couple of hours...has anyone here replaced their standard seat with something better? Mustang, Sundowner, Corbin all options welcome...looking for something that can be used for more than a couple of hours at a time...
Thanks all...oh yes I did wave to every bike I saw up and back.............and what was with all the Gold Wings out yesterday?????

We make custom seats to suit you and parnter, we are based in Tauranga. Best bet is your two asses and bike together so we can shape the seat to your needs. Or Courier us the seat and we adjust it to your needs.

Depends on what needs doing, what often happens, is you come up we shape the foam, and send you way agian, and you courier us the seat back on monday and you have it back again by friday.
But if sorta like a mid week thing, could be in and out in one day, as long as you don't want a logo or simlar put in the seat.
If ya keen drop them a phone call on 07-578-7903 or email mac@trimit.co.nz. with questions queries
We acutally are doing two harley seats at moment.
You are looking at alot lower cost than say a corbin, sargent seat, which you have to import yourselfs now days, our seats normall go in range for $500-$600+GST, depends on what needs changing

Go for it! I've had mine for just over a year and a numb bum is simply a thing of the past irrespective of how long you spend in the saddle. The best purchase I've ever made for the bike, and that includes the radar detector:innocent:

I have no heasation in recomending these guys. Had the seat done on the Bandit a little under a year ago and I wounder why the hell I didnt do it sooner. My father also had his seat done on his 1600 Mean Streak and the finish in both seats is to a great standard. ONCE AGAIN HIGHLY RECOMENDED.

Will someone buy me one for Christmas / my birthday?
Please?
Or if you're all too miserable to buy me one, tell the vifferbabe what a good idea it would be?

I changed to a sundowner(sat on a few bikes with different seats) on my bike, the riders seat is nice and wide and soft enough for me and no complaints from the wife after 4-5 hours of riding in a day.Mind you arses come in different shapes and sizes so sit on a few bikes if you can to see what you like. Got mine on trademe for $350.00.Hope this helps
