Hiya, just wanted to quickly introduce myself to the forum, my name's Steph and I was referred to here by fellow pom,
m99dws. (there, was that alright? haha)
My family has just moved over from outside Birmingham, to Feilding as my mum's a kiwi and wanted to come home after 27 years over there.
Unfortunately, it woulda cost about a grand... that's about, just under $3000 to send my ER-5 over and all my bike gear's in transit atm so I'm bikeless and it's horrible.
Anyway, this country is awesome. The people are so friendly, i'm just not used to it lol, and the roads are just incredible.
So I look forward to integrating into this forum and hopefully won't whinge too much. ;)
Thanks,
Steph.

Hi Steph and welcome to NZ and KB.
Awesome to see yet another biker babe in the area! In the throws of arranging a biker gal ride soon, so please feel free to cruise along, even if you are bike less, just to meet some of us girls/ladies in the area. Will PM you when date and time etc has been organised.

Some good roads near Fielding!
We came back from the UK almost 2yrs back; takes a while to settle in, but give it time...and meet as many KBrs as you can!
Gonna be in Palmy at Xmas, will you have the bike by then?
Someone down Palmy way should arrange a meet/ride around Xmas time
Oh, and welcome.

Welcome to KB, ...i got say it.. fielding??? awww whats wrong with Auckland? ;)
...from Kent myself, been here 9 years.
recommend checking out the 'survival skills' section... NZ car drivers tend not to be as aware of bikes as European drivers...

Welcome!
Where abouts near Brum? We moved over from Solihull last year, put my bike on the container as it cost next to nothing. Hope you get some wheels soon as it's a great biking country.

Hiya, thanks for all your welcomes! Seems to be quite a few biker brits moved over here, haha, intelligent people.
I used to live in Nuneaton. There was this awesome road that went from Nuneaton, through Meriden to Solihull, that was my favourite biking road, I'm not sure if you're familiar with it Bytor.
Not so sure I'll have a bike before the start of next year though it would be awesome to meet those of you around this area.
As soon as I get a bike, I will be making full use of manfield. I didn't get the chance to do a trackday back in the UK. Not that I'd want to on an ER-5 lol.
Thanks again for making me feel at home :)

I know it coz it was used as a rat run by the rover workers going to Coventry - some of the scariest driving I have ever seen was on that road. There were some great roads round there. I used to go to the Waterman pub at Hatton (Warwick Road) on Wednesdays for the bike meet, used to get 2000+ bikes there until the cops set up road blocks etc - the locals just loved it!!!
