1984 vt250f honda camshaft installing

i need help setting cam shaft timing unable to get hold of a manual its driving us crazy can some one please help

check for notches at each end of the cam, if there are two horizontal lines or marks, align those with the cylinder head (horizontally). Piston should be at TDC if i remeber correctly (compression stroke)
