If I had the money to buy something like that I'd buy it brand spankin new anyway. If the bloke doesn't realise that he's lost 33% of the value by rolling it out of the dealership he doesn't deserve an offer.

and why the fuck would you spend that much money on a bike and not ride the fucking thing?Whilst MV may not have had that in mind when they built it, I'm guessing that Suzuki didn't have
probably about 50km on the track (one track day on 5th Nov 06) and even then it was probably nana'd more than on the road to be honest. when they built the GSXR1000 superbike...

I'll get flamed for this but...
That thing is horrible! Why cover up a beautiful engine like the F4, with some ugly coloured bits of plastic? That thing was made hideous as soon as that plastic was bolted on. Sorry to those who like it, but it's definately not my thing.
Aprilia Tuono thank you.

Why cover up a beautiful engine like the F4, with some ugly coloured bits of plastic?Because at the speeds the F4 was designed for, aerodynamics is important. btw, there are better looking uncovered motors than the F4, plenty of choices out there for you. I wouldn't have picked the Tuono as one of them though?

Aprilia Tuono
Suzuki SV1000s (K3 or newer)
Ducati Monster (S4R S, or S2R)
Cagiva Raptor
Triumph Speed Triple
They'd be 6 bikes I'd love to own. And why would you not pick the Tuono as a contender for that 'category'?

Cause it's fugly  I like the first one... it was 'proper' fugly... but it was all down hill after that :(
The S4R is well ugly too... all those hoses and crap, the Monster looked much better air cooled. The carbon trim is pretty lustworthy though, looks much better in real life than pictures

Nah, be better off buying a Honda, or more to the point building one. How about this? Latest from Tyga Performance, its based on a RVF400, but how about lobbing that bodywork etc at a VFR750 or 800?

You forgot the Z1000...I didn't forget, I left it out. A nice bike, I will admit, but I wouldn't own one. Just not my thing, I guess it's the 4cylinders thing. I prefer V-twins, V-4's or triples, for some reason. Maybe it's because I prefer torque to hp, maybe it's because I don't like the sound of a bumblebee on steroids, maybe it's just because I don't like the look of 4 big arse pipes coming out the front - I don't know. It's just not my thing.
But boy the S2R and Speed Triples are sexy bikes. And a perfect excuse not to give my mates/mrs a ride on the back. The S2R is a single seater, and I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to be sitting on the back of a Speed Triple; There's nothing to hold onto, and not much to sit on either.

Well, after having replaced my pipes, I can definately say it looks way better and sounds more like a v-4 rasp than an inline 4 howl. I used to ride the bike in the mid-range but now I rev it out, sounds just awesome!
And I'm not much of a twin man, so I identify with the statement of engine configs.... A Speed Triple would be my second choice though...

Not all 4 cylinders have no torque and sound like bumble bees. I have one in my shed that has horse power and enough torque to rip yer arms out of their sockets and beat you around the ears with them. :dodge:

I think this has been done to death but a big bore inline four will tear the arse off a Vtwin (much as I love em) in all ways except maybe out of corner drive grip.

He probably just brought it for show and tell.

The Tuono is the Seinfeld bike. The bike about nothing. I mean what the hell is it? A sportsbike without plastic? An uncomfortable naked bike? A dirt bike with road tires? A touring bike with no paniers?
And what's with it's 1976 Ford Escort dashboard? U.G.L.Y.
