I had a big off on 16th november,:shit: cant remember the accident but got my bike back 2 days later ( GSX1200Y).
Both forks looked stuffed, the right side had broken in two, the left had bent badly, the headlight and clocks didn't exist.
So i contacted Suzuki to find out how much replacement part are.
They came back with $1161 +gst per fork and about a grand for the clocks and light:gob:

After the initial shock i sat back and thought about it, i decided to get some advice from a guy i know who rebuilds bikes, he asked me to take the fork's and front wheel to him:scooter:

After a short look at them he informed me that all they needed was new top sleeves at a cost of $200 or so and they will be as good as new, much to my relief:Punk:

after pricing other aftermarket stuff to put the bike right it will only cost me about $800 to get back on the road in time for summer::yes:

By doing it this way it saves my insurrance as the cost of it will skyrocket if i claim.

I have even looked at the options of streetfighter the bike.

Any comments or advice on where in Auckland to get the best prices for parts would be greatfully received:rockon:
