Some of you remember the long ass thread Unfuckingbelievable.
The thread was about me, I got my 2000 rs250 and four days later over shot a corner and fucked my bike, All fairings were ripped off including the tank, the frame bent so much that the front wheel moved back 75mm, as well as the rear sub frame being bent, as well as my front discs being warped !
Of course all I got from here was (Newbie on a bike too powerful) - ( I had an rs250 for 6 months prior to getting my new bike and an nsr before that !
This accident was just unfortunate at the fault of me..

Anyways, I got to rebuilding and repainted everything myself, as well as doing some carbon fibre parts, Before work, in my lunchtimes and after work I have put over 100 hours into this job, A special thanx to steve at F1 engineering Saw my frame / discs being straightened for a good price !!! Awesome job man much appreciated, Also thanx to MSTRS from here who after a few easy emails made all my decals for me, again for a good price !

Ive had the bike back a week and have been thoroughly enjoying the engine output, albeit in a very different mentality, I almost gave up riding after this crash, Ive walked away from too many at such a young age, you can keep rolling those dice but soon your number is going to come up...
I am no longer worried about accidents, Ive become devoted to each quality of riding I wanted to embrace, and Im disciplined at it.
I want to live, and most of all - I dont want to put myself in a position where I could be without my bike again, - I dont want to spend another 100 hours fixing it - and I dont want to walk to work for another 2 months !. I read a couple books (sport riding techniques - and twist of the wrist ) and now ride in a very different mentality, However, I must admit, I cannot resist powerwheelies on my 250, 1st gear - no clutch, front wheel head height, bliss!
Heres quite a few pics..

those were original fairings - Everything got repainted by me except for the headlight fairing and the tank...
All have new stickers
Here is my 'workshop' ...And the bike fully stripped down to go get the frame straightened in hamilton - Just a frame - engine and wiring loom

Forks and Exhaust off bike... The forks were not bent as I suspected - frame was...
Laid up Fibreglass over original fairing - when cured gave it a grind and lay up a layer of carbon over it... god bless my boatbuilding apprentiship..

Finally got the pictures uploaded, this is my bike in its present condition... Looking good and I intend to keep it rubber side down. A shitload of work went into this and consumed me, what you think ?
Note the trick rearsets !

looking hot bro. Will have to go for a cruise when i get my licence back!

Only two things to do to it now, first get rid of those pillion pegs (or are they there for standup wheelies?), and then get a motoGP style Carbon fibre exhaust hanger to replace that *really styley* wire-bar contraption.

Still haven't beaten me yet. Keep trying.

Nice bike, I know what it's like restoring an RS, yes it consumes you. (Anyone got a clutch mushroom head pushrod?)

p/t, my rs ain't quite the same as your's

yep airforce also has 'composites technicians' which is essentially the same thing, just a tad better deal when training, think you'd get better pay in the civilian sector after your return of service though.

Tell me about the red light running, seriously take it easy on that road, NO SHIT, first was pulling out of a driveway in the wet, too much throttle and spun out, no injury got up and rode away,
2nd was in a car - drifting those corners by the school and fucked it up, ended up in the school... unhurt, 3rd was me on bike t boning a car outside clearlight, - pulled out in front of me - broken femeur in 5 places, 2 blood transfusions 4 months off work - not cool.
last was a car turning into bridgestone, knocked me off my pride and joy, i learnt the hard way, I will never go above 50 on that road ever
