Location of incident: Petone

Incident Type: Oil spill on Petone Off Ramp - SH 2.

Drivers travelling north on SH2 need to take care when exiting on the Petone off ramp. Oil is on the road after an accident on the bridge. Roading contractors are cleaning up the spill but due to the rain, the surface is liable to remain slippery for a time.

A big spill too in Petone, on Cuba Street all the way from the foreshore up past TSS Motorcycles and into Lower Hutt. Frikken trucks with leaky diesel!
I almost lost it at 10kph, as I turned at low speed into TSS, wet plus diesel.
