Would love to go F/F but only if i got to race, and i think 600kms of riding is too much for the RG, and it will cost too much to cart my bike down :( oh well
KK, ill be there :niceone: if im getting 1:21's and 1:20's ill be happy, as long as those fucking drifters dont drag any mud on to the track.....

The drifters may be putting the crap on the track, but track management should be making sure that either the drifters clean it up or track staff do.
Don't just bitch about it on here, make sure whoevers running the track know about the problem and do something about it,the more people that get in their ear about it the more chance of something being done.

Yep, im going to ask Gary next time to clean up the track after the drifters...

Strength in numbers! It's not a quick job, track sweeping, but if 10 of us go and complain, or grab a broom, it might work?
Or he could make the drifters sweep it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys,
I'm keen to take my bike on the track but I haven't had much riding experience (1200kms).
Would going to the track be good for building experience or should I get more experience on the road first?
I hope this makes sense (2x 21st in 2 nights has left me jaded)
Cheers!

hard to say really darryboy, to be honest id usually so go get some more street exp @ getting smooth etc, but looking @ TS he has picked it up so quick etc that out on the track he was without much exp (although more then you have..) i wouldnt like to make the call for you, it will definatly improve your riding im sure - but at this stage theres loads of that improving that could be done cheaper i.e on the street.
Tis up to you, maybe just come for a looksee?

Its 80 bucks Gareth :niceone: lol that sounds like a KK thing skater knee pads LMAO...... Lets put it in perspective, i had brand new knee sliders yesterday, i rode my bike for 20 laps and MR's bike for 20 laps..... after that i had no slider left and a hole in my leathers :(
i say, forget the sliders and just go out and have fun :niceone:

its lookin good boys and gals! i just got in from work and before that lots f work on bike and before that work!.
Finally got bike done in time :D Should be interesting, and i just hope my carbs work! Anyways switched my tyres over so im using my hard old street tyres which the rear is bald in the middle! (figure ill save my ones that were on the racebike... for something, i dunno, wear out the worn out ones more i say!)
Awesome day :sunny: at the track all round with plenty of KB company.:sunny:
No spills that I'm aware of...we left at 4pm and some were staying for a bonus 10mins track time before closing.:sunny:
The only negative aspect of the day was all the crazy cages - 3 groups of them. So the bikes only got 1 session every hour. :weep:
Most stunning bike of the day (and there were heaps to choose from) was the Burgandy '04 R1. Pic attached.:sunny:

Good on you for coming along to watch/support the KB team Mr Quasi. Thanks for the times too, I've never been timed before...if I had known I probably wouldn't have pulled as many wheelies at the exiting of the hairpin. :shifty:
I mostly enjoyed "following" Drunken Monkey and dicing it a bit with the speedster KK. What frustrated me the most on the track was being passed on the back straight by the 1000cc machines as though I was standing still!
All good fun - highly recommended to any capable rider. It will help your skills immensly!

What a wicked day! got about 10 pics but it takes me about a month to use a 24 roll so the pics will come later... Ahhh i totally loved it! best time around pukekohe came down a touch more, and had heaps of fun on my bald street tyres... i loaned the bike to a mate (hes 6 months into biking, and never ridden bigger then 250) and shit did he do well! He did complain however about the back tyre - totally shot, and lost the back end in a power slide coming onto the front straight (minor, but still!) and went onto the grass, thanks to his quick thinking/reactions after sliding around on the grass he managed to keep her upright and ride back onto the track - he also commented on the rear tyre sliding out exiting the hairpin - i reckon its bloody good valuble experience!... anyways without blabbing on too much i reckon a new set of tyres on the racebike someday will solve my biggest problem of not being able to power out of castrol early enough, the backend just slides and gets the bike out of shape on cracked, hard and bald tyres :) Good to have some little battles with you Zed - and most Fluffy Cat - Bruno on the RWB NSR250, shit that was FUN!
