Well there are only 17 shopping days until christmas:sunny: ... about 10 if you hate the massive crowds... So I thought she should start compiling a lil list of things that would be good for different people, and then it can be added to and everyone can get amazing presents!
Giving is the best part of christmas for me, I love putting lots of thought into presents so I thought this could help everyone!!
1. 'Sparkles' By Louise Bagshawe - Best book I have read, EVER. This book would be awesome for any girl who loves a book with a bit of mystery and a bit of romance. Totally amazing because each chapter was about a different character and then they all mixed together. I stayed in bed all monday because I could not put it down. My mum was the same with it before she gave it to me! http://www.shorelibraries.govt.nz/TopPicks/NewReleases/book-review.php?dbcn=b21543720

Hmmm..... looks good for Mrs B's Santa stocking. Thanks for that - we always do little presents for each other like exotic foods, CD's and some tasteless tat!
This year, we're buying a joint main present - external art for the bach! Have a look at: http://www.sarahcdesign.co.nz/gallery.html. We're going to but the Nikaus at Colville piece. Appropriate really seeing we are only half an hour south of there.
Have a good one!

Somewhat embarrassing to admit, my annual bonus has been depleted and Christmas is tight this year. I will be making bedroom slippers for gifts.
You'll most likely agree that it's a splendid idea, and should you wish to do the same, I've included the instructions below:
How to make bedroom slippers out of maxi pads:
You need four maxi pads to make a pair.
Two of them get laid out flat, for the foot part.
The other two wrap around the toe area to form the top.
Tape or glue each side of the top pieces to the bottom of the foot part.
Decorate the tops with whatever you desire, silk flowers (this is most aesthetically appealing), etc.
These slippers are:
* Soft and Hygienic
* Non-slip grip strips on the soles
* Built in deodorant feature keeps feet smelling fresh
* No more bending over to mop up spills
* Disposable and biodegradable
* Environmentally safe
* Three convenient sizes: Regular, Light day, and Get out the Sand Bags.
I've attached a photo of the first pair I made so that you can see the nifty slippers for yourself....:dodge:

We split up our gifts this year and each drew another family member out of a hat. I got my dad - so hard to shop for!
But am thinking about some of those Reidel wine glasses - they are specific for the type of wine and apparently make it taste awesome. He already has two Pinot Noir ones...

Not sure if I'm man enough for that, and my mother is a teacher, so I know how much of a pain in the ass you lot can be :dodge:
By saying you, I mean the idea of another, your opposite, your equal, your better, the one in which you can confide everything and would do anything to protect.
But yeh... I'd like an XBox I think.

With a big family on my wife's side with a few ''adopted'' members as well,we have to have a big arsenal of small generic presents to swap when some unknown pops up and gives you something.And being hippies we try to make our own.One year we had our very own private beach and collected shells and catseyes and made earings (in a hippy family everyone has pierced ears)
This year it is going to be herbal vinegar - we have various jars on a windowsill with a variety of different things soaking in cider vinegar.The most successful we will use to make herbal vinegar.We have some cheap bottles to fill.There is also a plan for cosmetics,a facial scrub apparently.The last few evenings the kids have been pushing cloves into oranges....there are no packets of cloves left in Huntly Countdown,cleaned out by one family.
We are big on Christmas.

Yet another stereotype I am not like! I am calm and far from bitchy and strict!
Not a Wii?

I don't know many bitchy and strict teachers, I'm referring to all the marking, school fetes, outings, and all the other crap that goes with it. Anything that takes your time away from doing the washing is a big no no in my books.
And yeh, a Wii would be nice, but damn expensive.

Haha well yeah I do! But I have only just moved there... I don't like to be judged on where I have/do live... not always places with good reputations... ie. Gore :yes:

I spend a lot of time in the kitchen! Don't you worry! Nothing will change that!

I've put my orders in but whether I'll get what I've asked for is another thing!
I've got the other half that NZ motorcycling book (by Tim Chadwick), plus he's already had most of his presents - Rolling Stones tickets, Th' Dudes tickets, a radar detector... so his other presents will be small ones from the cats, like food, boxers, etc!
I want that book The White Masai, and I know I've got Smitten - the book all about kittens by Rachel Hale - coming! And the cats usually buy me Guylian chocolates, they have such good taste!

theres a fu*kload of new gaming consoles coming out around christmas time, these should be decent pressies for the kiddies and all you need to give them for the birthdays for the next years are the games for these consoles. all you need to do is sit back and watch them raise themselves,,,

It's the pierced everything else that gets our attention.....
Yes, giving is FAR better than receiving and in that spirit I think I'll get my missus the same as orangeback got:
a nice ZX10R and a classic Gixxer. Hmmmm, shame she's not riding these days....can't let 'em go to waste.....
