Has to be more than a single cylinder, pefer inline four, vtwin or twin (like a zzr250). No two strokes :dodge:
Have to have less than 45,000 kms on the clock.
Would rather it to be in the Auckland / BOP area but if its good enough i could travel a bit. :scooter:
Looking for something around the 4k mark, but lets see what ya got.
yeop, thats all,
Midnightmike.

Hmm, be selling my Rebel soon as I fix it up. Not much work to do just a few more parts needed. Headlight grips and indicators then it's just bolting everything together and getting the tank and rear fender painted.

At 6'4 I've ridden a couple of 250 virago's.
Later models feel smaller but early 90's model I test rode for a mate had a nice wide beam and good sit up and beg riding position. You would prob have to "fettle" to be comfy on a long ride, possibly highway pegs.
They are not built to go fast but if you wanna look like a T2 stunt double on a budget they should be fine.
Sure bigger than the sporty I was offered, and IMHO better looking.

If you want a nice NEW sport bike that looks good and is under 8k with warrantee you could do worse than a Hyusong GTR250. BIG fitting 250cc as they are the same frame as the 500.

Keep in mind if it aint a real minter you will end up spending the difference on keeping it road legal. If thems the dollars you go though I'd look for a watercooled version of the GPX 250. even an '89 will set you back at least 3.5 but worth every penny. They are so good if I was offered one at the right money I would buy it for a commuter and for the mrs when she is ready.
I have ridden one with a 300kg load from New Plymouth to Wanganui.
I had it go faster than necessary, and it is in the wider 400/500 chassis.
rare as hens teeth but more powerful and better handling than the 1990 onwards models.
In a perfect world I will find one in time to give it to the mrs when she gets her restricted (does not have her learners yet but I'm fixing that issue for Christmas).
