It seems Massey have posted my results for my papers for the year, yahhhh!
I'm very proud of me (someone has to be), I didn't get below a B- for anything, was especially worried about a Politics paper I was doing, as it bored the heck out of me and I thought I may have done badly. So that's one year down, 3 (or 6 the rate I do it) to go!! Bring it on!
Any other students out there got their results yet? Good luck guys, let us know how you got on!

Good onyer! My wife passed her first year of a three year Diploma and now as a reward she has to have three assignments of her second year in by end Jan, two of them by the 8th! She's, shall we say, unimpressed! So much for holidays!

Well done ! My University career consisted of one year at Canterbury University in 1973 before I got thrown out "due to unsatisfactory academic progress " so I have the utmost respect for anyone who can handle it

Hey thanks guys. It is nice to have it over for the year and to sit back for a bit (read, actually be able to ride my bike and not feel guilty that I should be reading something or researching something).

Ohhhhh man, that is unfair, is she doing summer school or something?
Tell her good luck with them from me, it's no fun watching everyone else enjoy holidays while you have inside stuff (study) to do. Make sure she gives herself at least a few days off over Xmas.

Don't encourage me Hitcher!! ('Cause it doesn't take much). I'm pretty sure everyone thinks my baby is blinged out to the max already! Maybe I'll just take her for a ride.:sunny:

Nah, she has two weeks off work from the 22nd but her course is by correspondence and that's what came in the mail!

Bummer, but I'll try to help her get them done quick as poss. We want to do a bit of cruising over the holidays on the bike and with the kids, too.

Yay Mrs KD!

I also just got results recently...I had a hectic year this year of working full time, doing 4 uni papers (LAWS 121, 122, 123 and 212 - passed them all!) and also sitting the first 2 of 6 patent attorney exams (passed them as well - phew).

Glad to have the summer off to recover. By "off" I mean working full time without going to uni as well - which strangely seems like a holiday.

How sad is that????

Well done AH!! That's quite the work load, I thought I had it bad working full time and doing 4 papers a year, but don't have much time to do anything else, where do you get the time??

Well, I got my thesis accepted earlier on this year - I am officially an ex-student again and a member of the WOrking Classes.
Also got my name on a paper based on the work submitted to the International Journal of Thermal Sciences - hasn't been accepted yet though. Got another one to do next year. Gotta keep up my IPENZ CPD points!

Trudes

Sure Col, it'll have to be a small glass though as four years of study fees and in the end I'll be qualified to get a job that pays less than the job I have now!

Congrats on your results mrs KD..keep it up.

I am only in my first year of Uni, so everything is pretty darn easy. Got A+s for everything so far. Was only waiting on one more result and it came on Thursday..and it was not an A, it was a B+..was so bloody worked up with that. Sure Uncle B had something to do with that so he could laugh at me ,one last time, for stressing out and telling me to get into the kitchen and bake some muffins(long story)

Trudes
9th December 2006, 10:43
Haha!! Congrats on your results too, that's an awesome achievement!:niceone: It's funny though isn't it when you get results back and you get like consistent A's and then you get like one B, and you think "oh, you bastard, how dare you, the marker must be blind or something", well, I know I do! But hey, you should be very proud of yourself, that's impressive.

Go you! Well done, buddy! You're an inspiration to many of us who think about the challenge but don't actually go beyond just thinking about it. You're a legend, Mrs KD.

I don't know quite how I managed to tell the truth and I am awfully glad I am done for the year.

Next year just 2 second year law papers and 2 more patent attorney exams, volunteer fire brigade, riding, sit for my full license, buy a new bike, paint my house....

Now I need a nap....

PS - Well done Darkman and Geoffm as well!

You're a legend, Mrs KD.

In my own lunchtime for sure!
But seriously, thanks. It's hard going sometimes (as you other studiers know), and there are definitely times when you think, "I hate this, bugger it", but then I think, "what else would I do with my spare time?" Honestly, if you've ever thought about doing something like studying for something, you should go for it, it can be quite liberating and addictive!

Congrats! I still havn't got my marks from Massey. First year engineering isn't exactly rocket science but I'm still allowed to be nervous : (

Good on ya.
I've finally got all my marks back for the year and managed to get B for my lowest mark. Surprising considering the amount of time I wasted on KB and doing everything else but study!

It's bloody hard work though, I'm just glad I've only got 6 papers to do next year instead of the 8 I've been doing for the last 2 years!

4 papers and working full time plus other interests plus the unexpected....whew APT, :thud:

Why do we do it to our selves.

I have taken on 2 papers for the 1st semester next year....and I wanted to
take on another 2 for the second semester....but just the thought of
the 2 and my workload next year is stressing me out already.....

Extramural takes sooooo long.......Ya just wanna hurry up and get there!

Congradulations Mrs Kendog!!

LOL. My results from my papers for this last semester have been posted!!! Yahhh me, all fairly good results, but what always cracks me up is that I always seem to get the best marks for the subjects I enjoy the least or felt I didn't fully understand!! I have to wonder if it's because I put in a little more effort into these papers because I think I won't pass otherwise. Anyway, big sigh of relief that all is well in my academic life, awaiting next years study guides to arrive, first semester is a huge paper on the Treaty of Waitangi, great!
How has everyone else done?

I knew I'd passed so was able to tell my mum before she passed away last month - but I got my final results today - three Bs and an A. Glad to have that all behind me. I've still got other study for another diploma but I'm not really up to studying right now so that can wait until next year.
