Oh yeah, I know that bike. I got a new tyre from the same and while waiting for various suppliers to be contacted I let a small pool of dribble form next to what is now your bike. Let me be the first to say "you utter bastard".
Now, please, confirm something for me: are both compression and rebound for the front forks led to convenient twiddly things up by the triple clamp? Is that not the most sorted thing, ever? What do they do for rear preload?

Thanks Dave, I like being a bastard.
Yeah the front system is great. I've yet to adjust it as it's a little soft for me.
The rear preload adjustment is done on the shock with normal locking rings system and the compression damping is with a hydraulic damper with a knob twirl. Rebound damping is on a twirl knob on the bottom of the shock.

IMO the styling is trying too hard and doesn't have the flow and symmetry of the other Italian machines.

The Benelli pic's do nothing for me as well.

SDU (5'1") found the SV650 to big for her.
They were to tall, which can be fixed.
But also found that they were to long from the seat to the bars so had to lay on the tank to much to be comfortable.
May pay to get the try one for size before you start looking to hard for one.
If your wife/partner does like the idea of a Guzzi, have a look at the Breva 750.
Sal really wanted one of those for a long time, but as they were new in the market, we could not afford one and buy a new one.
Buy the time a second hand one's had come up and SDU was riding the MKIII Lemans so did not want the Breva anymore.
But does like the V11 because of the power, hydo clutch, lighter pull on the throttle and look of the V11 as it has no fairing.
Also she thinks the bike feel lighter and easier to ride over the older MKIII.

Bridgy (my wifey;) ) is about 5'6" so I don't think the SV height/stretch would be an issue. She can handle the V11 no worries.
Unsure about the ER6 looks and the Breva is well out of our price range unfort.

Picked up the V11
Congrads man, Guzzi reps awarded :scooter:
Now... a few things to remember,
a) The side stands touch down bad on the V11 and sports, the dotted line shows were mine once was.
b) Get yourself some Bosch 332 207 307 relays and keep them on the bike, should you loose the spark, fuel pump (listen for hum) head lights etc then replace the rear two relays.
c) The Iti ECU's arnyt the fastest thinking computers, so let the bike idle for a sec or two before switching off so as the bike on restart dosnt think it is still doing 100+ up the motorway.
d) you should get about 360k's per tank of fuel
e) this forum http://morini.com.au/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=1&sid=6d6839acb14eaca563046fdeabf57883 is bloody handy, I couldnt have learnt what I did with my 1st MG with out the help of these guys, just ask and they will answer.
thats bout it off hand... enjoy the bike and mark my word... in 6 months you will still be loving it more each day.

Actually the sidestand takes some getting used to. Quite hard to get at so put it down by hand (accidentally got first gear !!)
Not quite at the stage of touching it down at corners yet though.
We got the owner's handbook with it and the previous owner was extremely thorough, lots and lots of hand-written info in it (including the relays and their part numbers !!). He was an older guy and traded it on a new T 675 would you believe !!

no chain... but every time you replace the rear tyre, get in there with a grease pump and load the 3 nipples up (front one is a bastard)
re: ya reserve, ummm no time to put one of them on in the factory was most likley more important to get to the pub before closing, use the very dodgy Iti fuel light.

Gidday Nudemetal, Pleased you love the bike. I was the 1st owner,I ran just over 30,000 Kms over 3 yrs and the bike didn't miss a beat.Only reason I sold her was I bought a 2004 Coppa Italia V11.
I have a set of sport Link Pipes and Neptune Black Stainless sport mufflers complete with hangers etc if you're interested give me a call on (04)5287398.
Also the original handle bars etc (The bars on the bike are slightly higher than orig).
I saw you coming down the 'Hill' the other day and recognised my old bike straight away, she still stands out. Good on ya for buying it.
Merry Xmas and try and stay upright and please don't crash my old machine.
Cheers mate.

I had a great chat with Pete tonight. What an awesome guy and it just makes me so happy that the bike I bought had been so well looked after.
It will now be up to me to keep it to that standard.
Now, about those Neptunes....
