Got my new bike today - K4 Busa.
All I can say is HOLY SNAPPING DUCKSHIT this thing is quick! And it's so much smaller than I thought it would be. Makes the 9R feel sensible and sedate. More opionions to come after I take it for a burn tomorrow.
The pic is from the tardme auction, so I've blurred things that would identify the seller...
So in related news - anyone want to buy a ZX-9R???

a fine choice of bike alright. the zx will feel postively toy-like when (if) you get back on it. i rode my TL after riding my busa, and wondered why i wasn't accellerating in 3rd gear. i was, just not at warp factor........

Tyre choice of most busa owners mitchelin pilot power good for around 10 thousand k rare 12 front. Depending on your finances ebay search hayabusa has thousands of merchindise items.

What year, model, colour is the 9? After the GSX-R 750, probably my next favourite sports bike!
Darn it! Where's that money tree...?

Pray that it's green...the green ones go faster!
Speed: Busa wins. ZX9 loses
Everything else: ZX9 for me...Busa looks like a plastic jelly mould on wheels!
EDIT: Just seen Crashes Profile... it's green and I think a B3 or B4 model. Can now see why you like the Busa, mate!
Enjoy though Crash Harry.

Haven't ruled you out yet mate, you're still first on the list if you want it! I have to say the 9R is an easier bike to ride than the 'busa, especially round town. Mostly because it doesn't have the brutal torque that the 'busa does. It doesn't terrify me.
I'll definitely miss it when I sell it. The Kwak has a new rear on it now too, so she's pretty much good to go.
Oh, and Edbear, she's a 95 (B2) model, first reged in 96, and shes green as a green thing (see my profile pic).
And even though I like the 'busa a lot, I think my blood is still green.
BTW she's a K4 model and has only done 6000 ks...

Thats a nice busa! hope you manage to keep it below the sound barrier! haha That must have some real up and go. A goal of mine is to get one of these!
Interesting it makes you feel like you 9R is subtle. But then again the busa is 44% larger.
Have fun on your mean bike!

Hmmm - I'm in no hurry to sell the 9R, I don't need the money or anything - just the praking space.
MadAndy had already said he might be interested, so I'd like to at least give him first refusal seeing as how we've already talked about it. There's a pic of it in my profile, but there have been a few changes to it since that pic was taken:
Minuses:
Scratches on RH side from a 30km/h bin (touched up so they don't show from a distance but they haven't been fixed properly)
Small scratches on LH side from the front bumper of some bastard who pulled out in front of me.
Plusses:
Scott Oiler
Custom Chambers exhaust
New front brake rotors
The scratches aren't too bad, you don't really notice them (well you might, I don't). It's also had a lot of maintenance done (cam clearances, cam chain, idler chain, final drive chain and -1/+2 teeth front/rear sprockets)

Make sure you have a little left over for tyres and a chain as they eat them if you go harder than a nana !
I only got about 3000km out of mine twice and sold it !
Great bike for everything else though
