$120, for gosh sakes! Still, just aced my bike theory test, and got one wrong on my car theory test, so I'm a fully paid up NZ driver, classes 1 and 6. Maybe now I can afford some insurance.

What did I get wrong? "What maximum speed at which you should overtake a school bus that has stopped to let children off?"

It's not like it's *difficult* to replace kids, eh?

Years ago, when I sat my licence, back then the cop testing you asked some oral questions. They could be anything he wanted not from a set list.

And one of the ones that I was asked was just that. My answer was "Bloody slowly, and bloody carefully". I passed. I still think that is the correct answer.

Me too -- I sat my UK driving test before theory tests had been invented, and when I sat my bike license I was exempt, but you still got asked random questions by the examiner.

It was probably more expensive, less efficient, but I thought it a better method, because there are so many colourful ways to express the right answer. Also, it'd be a bit harsh to fail someone for being a bit too safe, in certain circumstances.

Bang on. There wasn't an option for "On one wheel, winking at the older girls".

You have my sympathies... Frontal lobotomy operation will be booked in for the end of the week.
(ok, we'll let you off since you have 2 wheels as well!)

Yeah, first thing I did when I got back was disconnect my indicators.
