My GN gave the kiss of life to a big GSX-750 today.

The guy was at a petrol station doing some tinkering with his non-working bike, and noobie me came along and asked if there was anything I could do to help, and blow-me-down there actually was!
All he needed was a jump-start, which I happily donated my bike's small amount of electricity to.

So to all the noobs out there, you may be able to help even if you don't know anything about bikes.
And to all the experienced riders out there, heh, you may never know when a good old GN may save your bacon!

I used my GN once to jump start my car....

Must say the GN's are not fast, but they are pretty useful!!!

A whole new industry is born ... you should start charging for jumping now! On ya for proving that having the mighty Ginny is like having your own Swiss army pocket bike! :niceone:

I managed to do a similar thing, twice -- once in Newmarket, and once in the CBD. The Newmarket one was a guy with a flat battery on some oldish Suzook, with kickstart and electric. He didn't know how to use the kickstart, flooded the engine (you could smell petrol), and was about to call the AA when I saw him struggling. My bike was broken at the time, so I was on foot and couldn't jump start, but I managed to kickstart his bike (after my horrible starting problems I feel I can start almost anything now :D). Same in the CBD, a guy on a big thumper trail bike on a really cold day that just wouldn't start. Managed to kickstart it as well :D. Makes me feel big and tough haha.

Us owners of crappy and slow bikes do have our uses ^_^.

Great story, Steam! Maybe one day my little Volty and I can help out a big tough bike. You think a GSX-750 would accept a jump start from a girlie on a 250 with an L-plate?

Yes, it was a stupid thing to do.. I didn't know any better at the time

ok - I'll bite - what's wrong with it?
That is a very good question.. I'll post what's wrong with it when it comes back from the bike shop

whats wright with it
that is another good question, considering the amount of money I've spent on this bitch of a bike.. once it gets fixed this time, I doubt there will be much of the original bike left..

Nothing wrong with a GN. Many riders have started their riding career on one. Any rider stopped, or looking like they need assistance in any way, should be offered assistance. It is surprising what you can offer.

hey the mirage survived so did my gn so did the gpx...i just crashed my zxr's :P

no need to get bitter you knew it had issues i told u that when you bought it

anyways back on topic

had a gn250 once

slow couldn't handle for jack...but good if youve never ridden before...in saying that i don't recommend them to any new riders i know but if you do have one i recomend puttin g low rise bars on them (motorcross bars) they actually go round corners then

the standard bars are useless for trying to ride with
