I've got that Biker Grin

I've just been out on my... ummm... must be my fourth ever ride on the road. This one was different because today I got the Biker Grin... it still hasn't left my face. :ride:

I think I really relaxed for the first time, and it's amazing what a difference it makes. I hadn't really realised how tense I was before, but being relaxed just makes everything so much easier.

Because I was so relaxed, I accidentally stayed out too long and it was rush hour when I was coming home. So I used those things called "bus lanes" along Great North Road, and just kept on going when all the cars were jammed up! Then at the lights I just casually meandered to the front of the line! :gob:

At some point I realised that I was actually grinning inside my helmet. Thank goodness for tinted visors lol

Anyway I just got home, and thought I'd share my grin, even though I really want to still be out there. Never thought I'd hear myself say I WANT to be out in rush hour traffic.

I Feel the exact same way :D The first day i got my bike, i had the biggest smile on my face (after i learnt to use the clutch). When i got home, i parked up, took off all my gear, looked at the bike, then put my gear back on and went for another ride :yes:

Excellent news - building up the confidence feels great doesn't it?

I can't remember if I've mentioned RRRS to you - I did it - totally changed (improved) my riding. I bought my wife a bike and nagged her until she went on it too and she hasn't stopped thanking me.

Explains a lot about what makes your bike do what you want it to.

A real confidence builder.

I agree with you on that one, i took my partners car for a spin today, and i felt a whole lot more cautious than usuall, guess its the thought that when your on a bike everyone is out to get you.

Just wait till the first time you see a biker on the side of the road and pull over just to see if they are OK, and help out if they need it, or if they ARE ok you just shoot the shit about bikes and whatever, then you both go on your merry ways.......

When.... I'm still grinning. Everytime I get on the bike, the grin gets bigger. It may get smaller at times but it never goes away.:D
