What a crock. Those are probably the only names of foreign-owned companies the judges could remember. Having a judge named Hairy-Melon is funnier than the "awards" themselves.

The roger awards are nothing but a front for the extreme left to rally against big business, and get some more media time for their attention whoring antics.

The judges are pretty much all rabid socialists (union leaders and other such scum of the earth) who wont be happy till no business makes a profit, and everyones on the same wage.

Phooey to the lot of them.

That aside, Telecom deserve the award imho :first:

Well at least the Union officials are battling for the kiwi. Not like the other lot, Kiwi's battling for overseas interests. I was bought up the old fashioned way; family first everybody else second. That use to be a tradition in this country. Not any more as your post demostrates. :zzzz: :zzzz:

I am constantly amazed and the paranoia, fear and loathing many people think they have for overseas-owned businesses. Many locally-owned organisations consistently prove that you don't have to be foreign to hold a patent on dodgy or exploitive business practices.

If people want to live in a banana republic largely uncluttered by the incursions of things foreign, then they had better build themselves a boat and get rowing. And good luck with their search.

The unions are battling for the bludgers, the slackers, the people who couldnt hold down a job if it wasnt so hard to fire useless cunts.

If they only targeted foreign owned companies it wouldnt be so bad, but we've had how many union organised strikes in our hospitals this year.. 6? 7? And every time those communist fuckers strike, thousands of kiwis go without proper medical care.

Who remembers the wharf strikes a decade or two ago? I was only a kid and I still remember the chaos generated by the wharfies going on strike.

Unions only exist to screw every last cent out of employers, and try and enforce a marxist society where everyone gets the same wage no matter how fucking useless they are at their job.

It is behaviour based on a belief that Utopia is a 1970s Polish shipyard.

Yep the Health system is in great hands since they have all been turned into Regional Boards. There's plenty going with out proper care when everyone 'is' working. Seem to recall something about the waiting lists getting smaller because the Boards do not have the funding to provide those on the waiting lists.

I thought Commie bashing went out when Muldoon got deafeated. Guess I was wrong. But then you have probaly not heard the the Socialist Unity Party no longer exists.

Telecom because even IFthey won they would still screw it up ! ..

But Yes and No ...The american model of free market ( the gold standard in miniture ) I dont hold with ,, profit at the expense of the worker ,, ( yes ,,more work , but part time lower wage ~ blah blah )

but the profits do go to shareholders ,,,,, where ever they are ,,

The jews and the arabs have got it right , invest locally and borrow locally ,,ie with in your community.. this keeps generated wealth local ...

Unions
Well there are on the shop floor good people doing good work ( I know , one of them is a reformed gang member , who is good with words , and now lobbies parliment on behalf of the meat workers ,,( now these people can get a raw deal~ )

BUT the upper tiers of the unions are filled with KIWI BLOKES ,,who grew up in a time of never had it so good ..and IMHO a waste of space

Company cars , and salaries , not changing withthe times to work WITH business ,,, but doing everything to make thenmselves look good

I mean WHO as a union boss needs a HOLDEN CLUBSPORT ( the black sport thing ) for a company car???? WHO???

THESE people are a waste of Union fees ,,, NOT the union itself

Stephen

PS
No market forces dont work ,,they just cause misery for others

I saw the result and live in a country where people are hired for LIFE on decent money !

Tough choice, but I have to go with Telecom. For being an all-pervasive blight on our lives. You can't even escape the scum by going to a competitor. Yet!

BTW. If the BRT dislike something, it's got to be good for the rest of us.

The health "system" is about rationing. Health is a bottomless pit into which all of this country's GDP could be tipped and some people would still be unhappy or feel hard-done-by. Everybody wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die.
