Time to replace the rotors and pads on the GSXR.
In keeping with my desire to try new (well to me anyway) shit and after speaking to the bike shop I settled on SBS Dual Carbon pads.
They are listed as race pads, so I checked with them, and was assured, that they are suitable for road riding as I didn't want something that had to run at a very high temp to work properly.
I have only done about 25km on them so far, but the braking performance is certainly down on the pads that were in there.
So, a few questions.
1) Are these pads suitable for road riding and the odd track day?
2) Should I expect a bed in period after which I should see an improvement?
3) Is there a correct way to bed in the pads?
On the plus side, there is no shuddering under heavy(ish) braking so far. But that I believe is more due to the disks not being loose on the carriers.
