Bloody Mad Woman (BMW)

Only one word to describe having my bike back and actually riding it - ORGASMIC! I had the most fantastic ride last nite - got home 9.30pm. To tired to post anything on here.
Went to pay the bill and my atm card wouldn't swipe! when 2 weeks before it had worked when I put the deposit down. So sweatin in me leathers I trundled to a money machine - thinking shit will I ever get this bike!!
Because it hasn't been going for 4 months, its quite farty - lower down - I'll blow the snot out of it on the weekend. Was caught up in peak rush hour traffic - Wellington had turned on the most beautiful evening!!
My riding is so rusty! Good lesson tho - cos it was like being a newby - I concentrated on control of the bike at very slow speed - hell I had no choice with the traffic - took about 10 mins before I became confident again at lane splitting - then it entered my head - which side do I lane split?? made me aware of what I take for granted! Went over the Wainuiomata hill - around that coastline. Only been over that hill about 3 times on a bike but even in my confident days I never got it totally right - last nite my cornering was perfect. I also found at times my concentration was not as good, just out of practice. Not reading ahead enough I thought or expecting things to happen automatically
Once over the hill, my hands were certainly quite sore, so I stopped and got some petrol. Here was another surprise!! Last time I filled my bike it was about 1.73 per litre!! $20 filled the tank to the brim!! Yeeha. (there was probably $3 left in tank before I filled it). I didn't ride like a maniac, but boy it was bliss, utter freedom. Dropped in for coffee at a friends place, got talking to the neighbours there - two young guys who have bikes - told them about kiwibiker. Riding back was absolutely amazing - perfect weather.
Stopped off at Warehouse to look at tents. Is dome better than triangular??
At Xmas I am going to Napier for a few days, then I will go up the East Cape and travel up the North Island - I have an airbed - are those pumps from Warehouse any good? (the red plastic ones) I have a small air compressor that can plug into my bike (ooops have to connect that particular wire) but I have not thought through how to work that to pump my airbed up - there aint no way I'm sleeping on a 5mm bedroll - did it once! I'm on a very tight budget!!
I rode my bike into work!! (All of 5 mins journey) Just went and had a look at it. Work was lucky I even turned up - such a beautiful day - I just wanted to keep ridin!! (been writing this all morning - work keeps interferring!!) In the last 4 months I lost everything that truly mattered to me, my soulmate, my bike and my cat - I had no outlet for the soul pain which would have been riding. (The whole year has been filled with some horrific events for me, I look for the lesson, ask why, what should I learn from this - sometimes there is no answer - life can just be cruel - ya just pick ya sorry arse up and get on with it - then you hear about someone in a worse position - I get very grateful about what I do have then - doesn't necessarily take my pain away) I have tried to maintain a positive attitude despite great adversity - maintained my dignity and respect - apparently I have been successful as a few people have complimented me on the above.
Now I have my bike back - I just had to go and check that it was there and that it is truly mine - it is real that I have it in my possession. I finish work at 7pm tonite, then I will ride - I have no destination, just enjoy the journey.
Thank you all for your help, advice and support during the last 4 months. :Punk:
