Hay ya guys just a quick post to say that they are painting new white lines on the Rimatakas. I guess they will paint new yellow as well. I know its that much of a major cause you'll all see when you all ride it next just thought I'd say. :done:
On another note wouldn't it be nice if they could ashphalt the whole road.

Rimutakas.
This Summer is going to be a bit dodgy on the really hot days. There'll be heaps of melted tar, especially on the bits they resurfaced last year, so keep an eye open.
Had a bit of a reconnoiter last night and this morning. Not looking that flash I'm afraid.

Asphalting the Takas would be good. Can you imagine a giant skate bowl with terrain variations for motorcycles? Miles of asphalt with different courses laid out in different coloured lines so there weren't any collisions. I wonder what kinds of bikes would evolve there?

Wishful thinking. Has it escaped your keen powers of observation Jim that we are trapped in an eternal winter?

Shot over early this morning. I haven't been over the hill in weeks and the road surface has deteriorated heaps! How the hell. We haven't had any heatwave that's for sure. Some of the corners look like shiny molten tar (yes slippery looking) with no stones left? Just can't figure how that's happening - too many big trucks? too many Harleys?

Or not enough stones?

So you're saying we need to get stoned? Sounds like a plan to me.

The tar had melted all over the top of the hill going into Taihape yesterday. I took it easy both coming and going. Shame really, as it is such a crackingly-good S. But, better safe than sorry...

Nah, its all those guys with the knee sliders who are wearing the road out. :dodge:
