See the handle that the astro on the left is holding - my wife's cousin designed those about 20 years ago. I forget the details about how long it took and how much they cost each but was staggering amount.

Jeez, they've done a crappy job on the fairing of the ISS ... who do I complain to?

Just look at the panel fit and the aerodynamics are all screwed up as well as the paint job is terrible.

pretty cool pic. Liking the clarity too, im guessing its a pretty high tech camera. Would the absence of atmosphere also help with the clarity of the pic?

The last 3 digits of my home phone number are 666...but when I went to use it as an email addy, some other 'Ren' had it....so I am the neighbour of the beast...Ren668.....

Dammit, files too big so I reduced it...the full size piccy is here (http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/images/shuttle/sts-113/hires/iss005e21472.jpg).

What always gets me about overhead shots from 150+ miles up is how the urban connurbations are almost invisible in daylight.

Carl Sagan discusses this when theres talk about life in the universe. Says that if youre a reasonable...distance from Earth, it looks like there is no-one there at all...other than a bit of weak stuff in the radio spectrum etc (Pale Blue Dot (http://www.amazon.com/Pale-Blue-Dot-Vision-Future/dp/0345376595/sr=8-1/qid=1166426435/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-1948525-9603961?ie=UTF8&s=books) I think).
