why do the powers that be on kb seem to be letting all these threads about accidents on to the site??? i tried to post one some weeks back after reading the details of an accident on the nz hearald and it was stopped quick smart. but reading through posts today i have read, about river rd, muriwai,my first real crash, all these are about accidents and yet they get posted,it seems there is some double standards about what can and cant be posted, where does it stop?? i would appreciate your feed back or am i just bieng naive

Hiya RCTL,

There will be some sort of reason why the thread was pulled. There have been a few threads pulled over the last few weeks so you aren't alone and no one's singling you out to have a crack.

Some have agreed that threads be pulled and others have not. The mods have a tricky job and on the whole they do quite well but as you know, it's a tough job trying to keep everyone happy all the time.

Nothing here is intended to get at you. It's just one of those things that happens when someone else runs a forum site.

Sleep easy :)

Anybody who wants to post a thread about their own accident or death is most welcome to. The mods will not intervene in these, unless associated discussion gets untidy.

I understand it's done on a very subjective basis (lanmd let's face it - it'd be hard to do it any other way), with a bias on sensitivity to those possibly involved or affected.

If someone near and dear to me was hurt or killed I'd prefer to hear it from family or the authorities rather than seeing it online, especially with the tendency to change or guess at the facts of what happened.

How about this. I'll do what I want, when I want. Does that answer your question?

People, please keep in mind we are all here as guests of SpankMe... when he makes a call, the call has been made.

However, if you have a serious problem, post it in the "got a problem" thread or pm a senior Moderator. Thats has always been the message and that wont change...

I'll do what I want, when I want.

That's always been my philosophy - sometimes people get upset, but I don't give a fuck eh?
