Speedo cable - bumpants!!

I got a brokeded speedo cable. I suppose it's not an overly difficult fix and the bike is rideable without it - 50 is 3k rpm in 3rd, and 120 is 5k rpm in 5th, and I'll stick to those speeds until it gets fixed... oh and for ever after unless I'm at the track...

What do they cost? Can you get another model that fits? ie. GSXR1100? or summat?

Shit happens - especially in the week before xmas.

I've been nearly a month without my speedo cable now...

It's ordered along with my airfilter, no idea when it's coming, but I was told i'd have to go genuine suzuki.. and that it's basically just a bolt on affair.

Had a yarn to AJTurbo last night (he's having similar issues). He has sourced an outfit in Palmy that has them and/or makes them at about 1/2 cost (although they're not that expensive - I'm just frugal). He's going up there today so he's gonna let me know the score - I'll report back...
