I saw this thread: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=39877
Regarding the 2007 R1... I've done a search here on KB for the 2007 R6, but found nothing, also tried using google and yahoo... still nothing...
Have they released one? The R1 looks shit hot... can't wait to see the R6

I saw something .... somewhere, but I think it boils down to a new colour becoming available and that's about it.

what he said... no change overall... it's too soon anyway. Will be another year or so before they change it again. If anything the changes will be things you wouldnt see to address any problems they discovered before hand. (i.e 2000-2002 have different cam chain assembly as the 1999 one was found to be faulty and has since been redesigned)

Yamaha bikes, normally have a two year life cycle, the R6 was updated this year,so should not change much for 2007
After winning world supersport, aussie & american titles, let the others catch up aye
We will see what Sam Smith,Scott Charlton & Seato can do in the Nationals this year on R6'S

Would be nice if they made race pattern shifting an easier change.
They launch a track focussed bike and overlook that issue? In fact they wouldnt change it for any of the journos on launch as they couldn't.

I hate that aye, so stupid making it annoying to set up race pattern.
Race pattern should be standard anyways i reckon. Makes more sense all around doesnt it? + Safety?

I thought the R6 was easy to switch over, the R1 was the bastard.
The only change for the 07 R6 is color scheme's. They are all two tone now as opposed to the single colors of blue and black, now one is blue and black and the other is black and silver.

that is a bitch, i wanted to try it on mine, but to do that you need to get a new connecting rod made to go from the rearset, around the frame and to the selector.

I think you'll find that roughly most bike models are at the least 'facelifted' every two years-ish, or replaced, not just yama.
And yeah, cos they released the R6 earlier this year, they won't need to replace it for a wee while, aside from the colours..
And normally, manufacturers seem to concentrate on alternative bikes each year (as in the 6 then the thou then the 6 etc)
