Yes it is.
Like
<img src=http://www.durbahn.de/_borders/rc_home_aufmacher2.jpg>
but not when you have inherent symmetry in your design but then asymmetric lighting? Looks silly IMHO.

BIKE magazine (uk); where the first to ride the new 1098, a pre production model - they have given it an unprecidented 32 page spread in the latest issue, the detail is pretty darn impressive, its a hell of a bike. The design process has been very interesting, with ducati clearly stating the took inspritation from the 916 and yamaha's R1!
Its a bloody good read

yeah one light on is dumb, but that is pretty easy to fix by even an average sparky
If you look there are some running lights above each of the lights
no central running light tho.
On another note, i really like look of this bike. Hopeful it comes in yellow

Its the bike that should have replaced the 916.
Finally a new sexy Duke.
Good power too, but still won't be a match for some of the Jappers ;) at least in base trim.
Wait for the Ducatisti to bite.....

Yep, Yellow with Black frame is available on the standard bike and Black with Red frame is avaliable on the S version.
The black is dead sexy, but ya can't go past the red.

I dont understand why people bag the 999, I think they're magnificent
US MSRP on the 1098 (according to January CW) is $15k USD. so by rights the 1098 should be under $30k here, by quite a margin.
yeah, that'll happen.

Compared to the 916 and now the 1098, the 999 is the ugly duckling. The ugly duckling that was bashed to near death by the ugly stick that is...
No point in having a super wicky fast expensive Ducati if small children run screaming from it.

Horny looking and performing bike alright. Wonder how long the world will have to wait for a 1098 monster?

$32k for the standard model & either $42k or $38k ( got a bit confused about that ) for the S. S models arriving January & standard February/ March.
Be keen to hear of first impressions if a KBer is one of the ordered bikes which are being delivered first - before shop stock.

Isn't that a good thing? They make rather a mess when they go under the wheels...

But not as ugly as the Multi Strudel

Might find that they were trying to upset it. Good track to find out if they have covered some basics excitement with just looks.
It is pretty though
