Just an idea but if any Auckland Dad's out there who will not get to see much of their kids (if at all) this Christmas and fancy a medium ride on Boxing Day let me know....I guess we can include any Dad's who want a break too........ah bugger it guess I should include Mum's too.........

Basically for those guys who will not see their kids.

If I lived in Auckland... I'd come along even though I don't have any kids... but I'd make some excuse... errr taking a break from the other rallies :gob:

Hmm, sounds like a good idea Graham and I'd be keen if I have a new bike by then. Although I get to see my daughter anytime as I have full time care of her!

Still trying to figure out how I'm going to attach her carseat to the back of the bike.

Okay...will have a think at weekend and post a time / place.

Yeah, me had same thought for my Daughter.

Great you have full time care although I have no idea of your circumstances so great may not be best choice of words...if you know where I am coming from.

Forgive me - I'm confused - the things that stop me from seeing my kids over Christmas are the same things that stop me from going for a ride....

So given the choice of spending quality time witrh the littlies or going for a blat I'd take the time with the littlies.

Or do you mean people whose children live elsewhere (like out of town) but who are stuck working in Auckland coz it's the only town in NZ that pays you enough to buy a room and kitchen?

Then the idea probably has merit - might send my wife on the run and look after the kids.
