View Full Version : Yungatart broken arse!

Colapop
24th December 2006, 08:53
A little birdy told me that a certain 'Tart' a (she likes to say Yunga) may be finding I difficult to chase me down and kick my arse... Probably cause she's got her leg in a cast. She also aint gonna box my ears with a broken thumb... and she's probably going to need her undies back coz she had a little bit of a scare at the same time as the injuries occured and may have messed in the ones she was wearing!!

If this all seems too hard to follow, don't worry it's christmas.

The short version;
Yungatart fell off, has a broken leg & thumb and a bruised arse. The bike is not too bad. She's in New Plymouth at her mum's place. The boys are fine.

Much love, ya old bag (see if you can catch me...)

That will take the edge off her Christmas.

Recover quick and GET BACK ON soonest.

I gather it is essentially minor dammage, that is a good thing.

Wishing you a speedy recovery...if you're liable to pay your excess....I bet there's plenty of people here that'd be looking to 'purchase' the ones you were wearing. Could help offset the cost of said accident a bit...

:gob: Crikey - glad to hear she's okay, sorry to hear about the injuries and over the holiday period too  Ah well, hope she managed to work out what went wrong and reflect on the experience to get some positives out of it. Ta Colapop for the info ... all I want to know is ... you weren't responsible for it in some way?

Nah, all good bro, chur chur! :msn-wink:

Hope Yunga has a speedy recovery and has a nice looking bike to ride when she has! :scooter:

So hell the hell are you going to get up to Auckland........
for the New years Eve party....

Will you be riding shotgun on MSTRS bike with a broken leg and thumb? No. My brother is driving her from New Plymouth to Napier on Boxing Day, and she's driving back (Thank God for automatics) here on the 27th.

She will then follow myself and MSTRS in the car, with our gear of course. Not quite the way we planned to do our trip, but better than not doing it at all.

She's ok, but a bit sore. All is well here, but yungatart is a little stroppy. The bike is stuck in 2nd or 3rd gear, the front left indicator doesn't exist, the front fairing mount is broken and the fairing is cracked (Will be removed or replaced) and the speedo mount is broken, although it still works. It's sort of ride-able, but not by her.

She hasn't seen this yet, I'll probably get a bash with a crutch or something; wish me luck...
Thanks for the good wishes everyone. Hopefully she'll heal up well.

I'm okay folks - however Colapop is in deep doo doos....
I have a broken fibula low down by the ankle, a broken thumb, and a chip of bone floating around in my knee.
But I have had experience before of being on crutches at this time of the year...broke my foot last year..not on a bike tho.
I'm still gonna have my holiday tho!
I came around a left hand corner, down hill (man,I hate those), bike went wide, then the front wheel tucked under when it hit the shiny patch where the chip had all gone (on the other side of the road), down I went and slid about 50 ft down the road, just missed a huge big rock and luckily there wasn't anyone coming the other way.
A bus driver from Piopio bus co stopped - he rides a HD, thanks dude!
And Nadroj came and picked me and the bike up..big ups to him!
KB roadside rescue service in action!
Thanks for all your good wishes guys, will see you on the trails...

Fuck sake people what the hell is it with you lot on the other side of the road? If I read this the above post correct you YT could have ended up like all the others that have hit something head on... 'just missing' a huge big rock would have been the least of your problems.

As for your "bike went wide" comment... fuck me, the bike only goes wide cos you let it, are going to fast, are out of control, need to learn how to ride, hell I dont know... I expect it went wide due to a flattie or something darft?

That being said... glad ya not to bad hope the bike is mendable, now rest up, get better and for gods sake... learn from it and share with others what ya learn. :scooter:

Too fast is of course, relative. We were travelling at maybe 40/45kph. Corner was unmarked, when it should have been an indicated 25kph (in my opinion). And relative new riders cannot be expected to be able to read ALL the signs in time to react appropriately. Yungatart was doing NOTHING wrong. We waited some 2+ hours for KB roadside rescue (Thanks again Nadroj) and during that wait we witnessed at least 3 cars be caught out in exactly the same way.
What really fucks me off about what happened is that this particular corner has a well-known reputation in that area, but the fucken powers-that-be have no interest in erecting a warning sign, which is all that is needed.

Went to New Plymouth this weekend and rode home over Mt Messenger (which I enjoyed, no mean feat actually, cos I don't really like twisties), through the Awakino Gorge and round Yungatart's corner!
It felt really good to finally finish what I started!

The bike is fine!
I have discovered they go better if they stay on their wheels....

Scary thought. I do tell her that the rider is the one in control. I'm not 100% certain she agrees (yet).
She done good this w/e tho. And that's all to the better.

So you'll just stay on the GN for a bit then?

Best you keep that 250 around for awhile too I hear... A certain young lady is planning on getting her own lisence instead of just being a pillion... Bloody head case she is!!

Top one chick. With a time like that you can be confident that you'll be faster next time.

Went to New Plymouth this weekend and rode home over Mt Messenger (which I enjoyed, no mean feat actually, cos I don't really like twisties), through the Awakino Gorge and round Yungatart's corner!
It felt really good to finally finish what I started!
No need for a 'taxi' this time either!

Good onya, but really, if a ten year old can drive over Mt messenger, a grown up motorcyclist should be able to as well......!

You just stick with those leather pants and let the wanky posing riders of sportbikes do their thang!
