I thought I couldn't really add my stacks of photos to the "some photos" thread could I.
The weather turned out nice and so it was a pretty good day of racing.
Started out I saw Des Molloy there with his Panther selling his book and DVD.
The practice took longer than planned and then before the races got underway there was the usual ride by.

Yeah well me and my Bro' went to see the exhibition afterwards (I'll post pics of that later) then stopped at the Bulls pub for dinner so I've only just got home, but I'll keep them coming.
Spot our KB man Sparky Bills number 55. Damn digital cameras they are a bit slow in their action so sorry mate I cut a bit of your front wheel off in that photo as I couldn't pull the lens back quick enough as you went by.

Well yeah, she's not a bad looking chick.
My old mate Richard Scott was there doing well on number 65 post classic.
Then there were all those Ssangyongs.

Now any one recognise this guy in a KB shirt? - he didn't stop to talk.
Then the racing finally started, but that first race got red flagged and run again later.
There's Sparky in action - well someone had to take photos of the guys towards the rear of the field eh and not just thos famous guys at the front!

awesome pics merv. keep em coming.

26th December 2006, 21:50
Here's Scotty going well on the old GSX1100 - not bad for a guy that set a lap record on the RS500 that lasted a while back in 1986.
Then there's Colin Tate still going strong on hos old Norton number 101.
Steve Bridge number 294 went on to beat Scotty in that race.
merv
26th December 2006, 21:56
Yeah, yeah I'm still going, this is fun but not a quick process.
The old Kwaka number 750 is still going strong too. It looks so funny with its chocolate thin width back tyre, but hell when I was young we were in awe of those bikes.
That's Jared Love on the Ducati number 69 in the Bears race.
J on the Motard is Josh McFarlane the Aussie (well he was born in NZ but went to Aus as a baby so they claim him now) and he was spectacular into the corners on the Aprilia.

Then the big guys came out again, no not Sparky but Stroud, Shirrifs and co.
Then there's our man Shaun number 37.
After that I went and stood up on the Ulysses truck and watched the motards on the dirt loop.
merv
26th December 2006, 22:05
That was a tricky bit of dirt in amongst a street circuit.
merv
26th December 2006, 22:06
A few came to grief as it was rather tight.
Sidecars were then in force as usual, old and new. Any one know what happened to Gordon Skilton as I saw him in practice but not in the races?
merv
26th December 2006, 22:14
More sidecars, and then out came the fast guys for the Robert Holden Memorial race.
merv
26th December 2006, 22:17
Notice how close the racing was by the swapping of order.
merv
26th December 2006, 22:20
Another race and hey there's Sparky again.
Then another race and there's Scotty again too, and this time he won - not bad for a grey haired guy.
merv
26th December 2006, 22:23
You're getting used to who's who here eh? Like there's Shaun again too.
merv
26th December 2006, 22:26
Still more of Shaun.
Then Terry Fitzgerald number 1 on the SV650.
A crowd shot for you too.
merv
26th December 2006, 22:29
More crowd shots and motards.
merv
26th December 2006, 22:32
Still more motards.
Then sidecars.

Now these guys number "S", Stellar and Abrahams, were a bit quick for the other guys.
Then out came the fast guys for the next leg of the Robert Holden Memorial.
Notice Andrew Stroud lifting the front this time - he was so quick in that race and lowered the lap record to 49.0 secs - it started the day at 50.0 secs. Now did he do a Richard Scott and seriously lower the gearing on the 1000 to eat the 600's because he hadn't been lifting it like that all day until that last race for him - the man is awesome especially considering how long he's been racing
