I got rostered on 10 days straight from yesterday! Don't mind though, as it includes Boxing Day and New Years day, when I get $59/hr! Yesterday I got paid that to fold napkins, and polish glasses for the restaurant.

The lunch lady just showed up at work... everybody got a shock when we heard 'Herro... runch rady'.... so got me a spring roll lol... whoohooo (not as good as a pie tho!)

I come into work over the break to clean my workshop floor - I do half today and the other half tomorrow or friday.I have to shift all the cars and equipment from one half of the shop to the other.Kinda boring.I have all the crap in the rear of the shop and am just letting some degreaser work on the black spots,next I'll hose it off and then do the real work - cover the floor in cleaner,scub it in,hose and squeegee it off.At various periods I will stop and drink some wine,eat some food and cruise the internet.

i'm working through - start again at 7pm. 2 of the guys had a bit of a shocker though - breakdown in whangarei on xmas eve evening - couldn't get a charter flight up on xmas morning so had to drive. stuck in traffic north out of auckland. got to whangarei, spent 4 hours pulling it apart only to find it was totally fucked, so drove home. 16 hours on xmas day, then drove up again on boxing day morning (with another engine in the back) for another 18 hour day.

Well, looking at the call out book for the last few days, there have been no call outs, though it'll be just my luck I'll get hammered...

Went back to work on wednesday, started at 6.30am and finished at 1am the next (thursday) morning. Was back at work at 8.00am and finished at midnight last night. Back in the office at 0800 this morning and MAN OH MAN.........

Seem to average two hours extra at the end of each shift lately which grates a tad at times:angry:

I hear ya... Its like that sometimes aye... Just at the moment all our contractors are on holidays etc... I would much rather have work to do than kill time.
