about the muffler being under the seat though, could be a problem on muddy days. I think the wheels are cool, very different.

Is it a V-twin like the 550? Bit hard to tell from the pics. The 550 is a wicked sounding bike

V twin with fuel injection, titanium valves. I think Vico was riding it for a while last year, hopefully it will do well for 2007

Just spent a day on the 550SM yesterday. This one had the pipes de-restricted and it sounded alot nicer than stock.

The 550 was doing pretty well at Wanganui
There's some company selling their motard rims in 2 tone. Black/Silver, Silver/Red, etc. Some of them look alright but it still seems a bit weird. Kinda assymetrical in a way

Dunno about the RVX 450's, but the SVX 550's are about the 18k mark. Bear in mind that includes all your road equipment (lights, mirrors, etc), not just the upsized motor.
Have heard that the RVX's are a handful, the 550 especially is supposedly a bit too much - traction is nonexistant as soon as you event think of twisting the throttle. However, the SVX 550 . . . *whistles thru teeth* . . . I'd love one of them. The range is only 100k per tank, plus you need to rebuild them every 100hrs or so, but fk me that would be a weapon in rushhour, and a hell of a lot of fun on the track.

100hrs, what's that?
2 seasons racing?

LOL maybe, but under strict racing conditions chances are you would want to do it more often. 100hrs on the road, which is about 6mths commuting for me, a bit less if I used it for weekend fun too.
Dunno what the cost of a rebuild would be, but the other limiting factor for use on the road is the range, 100k's isnt really that much between fill ups, and apparently that's only if you are taking it easy. Thrashing it will mean even more frequent trips to the servo.
