Kerry at Motohaus has one in stock...... red and black.....

A awesome looking beast... from front on I see a praying mantis... with the lights and fans... just sitting there waiting to be brought.

It's actually quite an ugly bike when you think about it. It reminds me of someones penis that has had a penis pump used on it too much and all the veins and shit are bulging out. Google it, you'll see what I mean.

They're Chinese too.

I never thought much about them until I saw a green TNT in the flesh... Very nice. Not sure I'd buy one but nice anyway...

Nice bikes. Chinese owned but still built in Italy by Italians

Ugly bikes designed by a blind man. The Chinese will be produced AG100s with a Benelli badge on them before long.

They're pretty out of this world. I'd be more inclined towards something like a Z1000.

If this is the same story, the Trademe dude isn't interested in selling any of these -- just using it as a way of doing a bit of market research to see if there's any demand. And anybody who can't spell the name of what it is they're supposed to be selling is dodgy in my book anyway.

And what's an "itailan superbike " ?

Is that like a Motto Guuzi ? :shit:

I think it looks sexy...especially the silver/green one. The first Bennelli I ever saw was a Sei. (Six tiny cylinders.)

James Deuce
2nd January 2007, 20:27
The Benelli Sei was terrific motorcycle.

The current range are a design exercise gone horribly wrong, and in no way related to the endeavours of the company that spawned the Sei.

De Tomaso ruined the company and then it it fought its way back via scooters only to go bankrupt again and again, finally being bought by the Chinese.

They certainly appreciated a sound engine design with the 500 Quatro from about '75 on to the 654.

They also did this wee screamer with some bizzare (for the time) styling..

That's not Kerry - he's definitely selling them, and the reason he had only one in stock when the thread was started is that he'd sold all the others before he'd had a chance to put them on display!

I tell you what - the Benelli is kinda ugly, but HEAPS better in the flesh, so to speak, and loaded with enough trick bits to make it very sexy and desirable. Also very tiny for an 1130cc machine - it'd be a hoot as a commuter machine!
I'd buy one, but it'd screw me financially, as it'd be instant divorce fer sher.

It has fat tyres.

So why would wondering how good it is in the gravel be of interest?

I'm sure Kerry would (perhaps reluctantly) fit some skinnier adventure-type tyres on it for you, if you wanted.
Plus the one he's got (and some of the other models) has flattish, wide-ish bars on it. For stunting and suchlike, but also maybe for gravel-roading.

Fair comment about the gravel roads. My Guzzi would be similar to it in that respect, what with having a similar riding position to the 1130.

What, are we paying to ride on gravel roads now?
