New 2 KB (petermonkeyguru)

Hey all, signed up last night on KB - went on the ride posted for today.
I enjoyed meeting you all, a cool bunch. Thanks to the guy on the fireblade setting the pace and route (two up on one wheel dude, wicked), we had an interesting ride.

I havent had a bike for a number of years, don't have a lot of dosh so picked up a cheap VX800 to get some confidence back, goes alright. Doesn't stop very well, doesn't accelerate very hard, a bit random on a rough road, first time I took it out the accelerator grip twisted off and broke and I limped home with one hand working the throttle on the carb.
the next ride I tried to keep up with terminaladdict on his Hornet around kawhia - I almost killed myself, dragging the pegs, bashing the pipe on the tar.
So now I'm all decked out with Quasi armour and ready to go. But I'm gona paint my bike blue and write CHEP on the side - it's like riding a pallet

Takes a certain amount of skill and lunacy to ride a cruiser lol.
